I think O has done a pretty good job of shutting down leaks of info good or bad.

Quit panicking rose petal. Appears that we have less than a handful of spots open for this class: RB - Bradford ( Robison in place), DT McKinley Jackson and Cam Ron ( Bill Johnson in place), WR - Adams ( Mickey Joseph in place) DB McGlothern ( Corey and Busch in place). Coach O is playing his chess game to get his staff as he wants it. I think Pelini is the DC, but that could change, and we are going to be surprised with who he brings in to repack Brady. FUN times and get off ledge. We fine.

Everyone is always available. You just have to convince them they are available.

I’m okay with taking all the time needed to get the right guys.

I am not worried at all because I'm not the coach, and the coach just led LSU to the greatest season of all time.

It's ok.

If I had to guess O and Woodward are getting a ton of interest in these positions.
Takes time to sort through.

Not worried in least.

I’m trying to figure out if the silence is a good or bad thing.

I feel lime O just took everybodies suggestions and criticisms this year and made a book. After he won the national championship he took that book of these expert opinions and just dropped it in the miss river because they are crap.

O has it, and he'll make the right decision when its time.

I'd say the shot callers aren't silent at all. Likely non-stop communication on (and with) coaching candidates and their agents.

They're just not talking to you because you aren't important.

DC already selected. It's not Bo. One sport site was on the money. Hope it is announced before we drive back Sunday

I doubt it affects the last few spots.

Even if it might, whats O to do?

“Hey Mr 4 star recruit, do you want me to hire X, Y or Z?”

Foolishness.

Say he hires someone just to have the spot filled and the recruit doesn’t like the choice?

Take your time, get the right guy.

Psychologically, it's a bit of a bummer. We keep checking in to see if something has been announced about new hires, and keep finding reports of existing staff leaving instead. I'm sure all will work out, but there's a palpable FOMO vibe that's setting in.

I called.football ops and told them I was available if they needed help picking assistants. They still haven’t called me back. I am still upset they didn’t consult with me on Ed’s new contract. He didn’t even run the play I suggested in the championship game so we were lucky to win without it. If they aren’t gonna do what I want them to do, I don’t care if they win or not, I am gonna stop cheering for them. Actually, I won’t go that far, but I will talk bad about them in the rant.

I really want to know but the biggest problem with Alleva's Athletic Department were the incessant leaks and his inability or refusal to take any narrative in hand once the rumors were out there. This is much better than knowing if I have to choose between the two.

I wasn’t aware that you couldn’t enjoy the win and look to next season. That’s news to me.

I mean it’s only been a week. There is nothing to really even consider about the silence. Imo it doesn’t mean anything.

Thanks for the info. I think Bob Shoop is a good choice.
