The FDA and CDC completely fricked our entire country with this testing fiasco.
People are rightly pissed at China/WHO but the FDA and CDC are right there with them.

My neighbor and her immediate family of 5 are all sick and tested negative for flu and strep. They took the test for COVID-19 yesterday a d have to wait 4 more days before hearing the results.

I would suggest picking up a bloodox monitor from CVS/Walgreens and monitor it. I would not go to hospital right now unless it started reading out of the normal range. There is nothing they will do for you at the hospital unless lung function is deteriorating.

Why wait till someone is critically ill to try these treatments? Their lungs are fricked by then. They are very likely to die in a vent. Treat people when it can help.
If someone is high risk then they should be able to request it before they become critical.

FWIW, like thermometers they're in short supply.
We got one last week off Amazon and it was basically the only semi-legit looking product left. Maybe it's gotten better, but I doubt it.

44 yrs old. Former smoker with copd. Otherwise I am 6'1" and 180. Pretty healthy.
