The other diseases. There were 2 bonds... Class A and Class B. The class A bonds only covered Flu and Corona viruses. Class B covers those plus filovirus, Lassa fever, rift valley fever, and Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever.

The first bonds were issued at 6.50 percent above 6 month Libor and the class B bonds were issued at 11.10 percent above the 6 mo the libor.

It's insurance companies and hedge funds that took down the majority of the issue. Most of the info is available on the world bank website.

There must be other triggers between the classes. It doesn't make sense that extra diseases would cover the spread between the tranches since the primary threat (coronavirus) is covered under both tranches.

LA will be the place to watch now

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A flight attendant for Korean Air who worked several flights out of Los Angeles International Airport has been diagnosed with coronavirus. The 24-year-old was diagnosed Tuesday in southern Seoul, according to the Korea Joongang Daily newspaper.

The flight attendant had worked flights between LAX and Seoul–Incheon International Airport on Feb. 19 and 20, according to South Korean media outlets. The woman also serviced a flight from Tel Aviv, Israel, to Seoul on Feb. 15, South Korea’s Center for Disease Control said. She may have contracted the virus from a South Korean church group who were on a pilgrimage to Israel, the Yonghap News Agency reports.

So far, 30 members of that church group have been diagnosed with coronavirus, according to South Korean health authorities. Korean Air has closed its operations center at Incheon Airport in order to disinfect the area.

Not saying either will occur but saying a company has already dropped 20% so it can't go lower is just crazy.

It's fricking Disney, their I.P. and products are worth a significant amount. Their streaming business is getting rolling and beating expectations with global launches in the coming months. There is certainly a floor, and this big of a loss is very close to it

It is beating expectations on subscribers alone which translates to very little as a profitable enterprise. But, many of those are prepaid/discount subscribers or bundled subscribers with ESPN and Hulu. Disney has a ways to go on the streaming front. It is a very fickle business.

Plus, they paid a crap ton for Fox. It isn't as cut and dry as it used to be for Disney.

The next few days will be tense.

From an earlier study of 62 patients:
quote:

"Among 56 patients who could provide the exact date of close contact with someone with confirmed or suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection, the median incubation period from exposure to symptoms was 4 days (interquartile range 3-5 days). The median time from onset of symptoms to first hospital admission was 2.0 (1.0-4.3) days."

You probably already know this, but if you get upset at the idea that the bottom may not be close, it may be time to consider whether you're overexposed to this stock.

I thought it could be good for it to mutate?

The problem with mutations is that they are random. While it could mutate to be a lower mortality rate, it could also mutate to cause a higher mortality rate as well.

There had been talk about a more virulent mutation in Iran so no mutation seems to be good news.

Also mutations can make it more or less contagious. If a mutation makes it less contagious, that version gets selected out but if it makes it more contagious then that one spreads faster. Plus, easier to make an effective vaccine if the virus is stable.
