Exactly and they knew exactly how some people would interpret it.

Fauci says a vaccine is over a year out

He also said anti-viral 3 months out. This would drop the mortality rate to that of the flu by June.

Recently watched a doc on Prime or Netflix about and independent owner and scientist working on a multi-virus vaccine. Conducted a successful test study on pigs in S America and was looking to start human trials in the U.K. this year. Just the trials took 1 year.

The way this is worded is stupid. There's some connection to an infected person they just haven't traced it yet.

No it’s not stupid wording. It’s significant in that it means it wasn’t someone who has been to China or a quarantined area... so it means there is more of a spread than what we are aware of. Hopefully it’s a small pocket.

And that was with trials conducted in less... strict... environments. The real bureaucracy begins one they file for approval in the US.

I'm very clear on its significance. The wording is very intentional......and stupid.

Yes. He said the name of it. It would probably only be used in severe cases at first.

Remdesivir - it was a drug created to treat Ebola but it was ineffective. I believe the Chinese have been testing it for treatment.

Hopefully it'll be effective and can rolled out.

Well it takes time to do a proper study that investigates both side effects and any aftereffects.

What good is a treatment or vaccine that ends up being worse for mortality than the actual illness?

I know they were coming on soon, didn't know it was going to be churning out results by today.

Expect many private labs and public/private universities to seek funding to attempt the construction of a vaccine. Don’t expect any more success than they had with vaccines for SARS (2003) and MERS (2012). All attempts failed. A google search indicates that there has never been a vaccine for any corona virus.
