You’re criticizing a DC whose defense helped beat 5 teams that were a combined 61-4 excluding losses to LSU, as well as 3 other teams that were 8-4 or 9-3 minus losses to LSU. That defense won the championship and went undefeated.

Aranda’s 2019 defense gave up 2 ppg more than Pelini’s 2007 defense. They played a tougher schedule, and the 2007 defense played a major toll in the two losses by being unable to stop Kentucky and Arkansas.

It’s fine to have an opinion, I just don’t understand why an alleged LSU fan would criticize the defensive coordinator of the best college football team of all-time.

But my opinion is as worthless as anyone else’s so carry on...

Seems like I remember Bo Pelini used to give up big yardage in “prevent” defense a lot at the end of games. Obviously that was when Les Miles was coach so there was a lot of close games.

People communicate differently and one is not necessarily better than the other.

No...because we finished 1st according to secsports.com

I'm not here to chime in on the defense, just that your statistics acumen is severely lacking. FYI according to the statistics that you linked, LSU led the SEC in Tackles. OK? So exactly what does that indicate? Well before I'd even speak to it, you must know that those numbers are inflated because LSU played at least 1 more game than everyone else in the league so that accounts for an additional 50-60 tackles. Secondly, and most importantly that stat by itself doesn't tell you a damn thing about the quality of LSU's defense.

I still can't over get over Bo's lack of game plan vs Arkansas. That should have cost us a spot in national title game. We lucked into it

The last five games.. LSU played as a top ten defense against very strong competition..

Having said that I am not particularly worried about Aranda leaving. His salary got all out of hand.. not his fault and his defenses were very good not great.

During Aranda tenure LSU had an average defensive line and got little pressure on the QB compared to,top defenses. Some of that was really bad recruiting by Miles and Chavis.

Aranda occasionally complained about Dline depth. One away game Lacoture played 70 plus plays. He was correct but he was part of the recruiting process as well. Whatever. We are past that.

Anyway we now have a couple of true nose tackles. And with this recruiting class our Dline talent level is as good as anyone.

Nor does it make your use of the English language any better. Spelling and grammar are your friends.
