Morris Bart walked by Lucy's on Monday and the crowd had some fun with heckling him. He was laughing and taking it in stride. Some girl near me said "holy shite it's Morris Bart!" like he's some sort of celebrity. The entire thing was kind of odd
name a more recognizable person by the vast majority of the Louisiana population? Brees and Payton? Coach O? there's plenty of people that don't have any interest in sports.
Everyone has turned on a tv in the last 30 years. If you did, you saw Morris Bart several times more than likely.
Everyone knows who Morris Bart is, and everyone could identify him.

30 years ago was 1990.. Try 35 or 40 years; i definitely remember seeing Morris Bart commercials in the early 80s, or at least the mid 80s.. then again, i’m ancient.

I met Dudley and hung out with him at a tailgate where we cooked and had fun. Regular guy that day.

I fully get that, just thought it was weird for a girl to freak out over seeing him in person

Murphy's family doesn't even like him....

well i've seen it happened twice now when my wife was in an accident, and that's the jist of what happened.
She was at fault in the first accident, bumping someone from behind. That woman got $8k after my insurance settled at the $50k, the rest going to the lawyer and chiropractor that likely did absolutely nothing for her b/c nothing was wrong with her. Neither car had any damage outside of a few dings.
The next one got the same $50k from us, even though my wife wasn't at fault b/c she was hit from behind while at a stop, which caused her to hit the guy in front of her, and he sued the 3 people involved, a 18 wheeler included, and the total lawsuit was around $600k, and that guy, that barely had a scratch on his car, walked away with $110k of that $600k. My wifes car was almost totaled in the accident, and we didn't sue anyone b/c we weren't hurt in any way and the car was repaired after paying my $250 deductible. We aren't pieces of shite though.
So you saw the settlement disbursement of the party adverse to your wife? You made all of this up.

Lower limit to $10k, two year statute of limitations.

Yeah, those are two blatant lies.
“Here’s your settlement disbursement. Don’t mind me while I fax this copy to the defendant driver.”

You’re a liar which makes you a piece of shite. How do you have any idea what each party got?

Met Morris Bart's cousin up here in Knoxville; family is very proud of him. I did say he looked good on his billboards. Cousin had no idea he was on bill boards.
In NOLA, we watched our boat worked on at the same marina as Bart's boat. I can only hope they messed up his boat as much as they did ours.

Randy Roberts out of Tyler was my little league coach. Very by the book, but a very good guy overall.

I've met David Laborde. Nice guy.

Yeah it's kind of bad when nobody outside the legal professeion can tell you who the elected judges are but can run off a list of 7 personal injury atty's without delay.

Isn't it generally around a 40% take for the plaintiff atty plus fees?

I’ve met several of the BR scum irl. Arrogant, egotistical assholes. To a person. Interestingly most of them finished at the bottom of their law school classes and couldn’t get a job with any reputable firm. E Eric finished last in his class, Calihan flunked out his first year of law school. None of the ones I’ve met are very bright, and if they have to go to court, one of their flunky’s handles the litigation. They are strictly looking to sue and settle, and make their dollars on volume.
And if they had any morals or ethics, they’d be doing something else. Gordon possibly the exception, he just used Daddy’s money to follow in Daddy’s footsteps. His Daddy took my deposition years ago, he was not especially bright.

Which defense firm do you work for?

No. 40% typically is only charged for cases that go to trial. And the percentage is the fee.
