The football team works out all year for a chance to play in the championship. The cheerleaders practice all year for a chance to cheer in the championship. Mike the Tiger frickin suits up, hot or cold, every day, putting in the time and energy to possibly get fans fired up in the championship.

But you know who gets the shaft? Our very own Golden Band From Tiger Land. They practice all year, compete (in their own right) at every half time with a tough SEC schedule, and you know what they get at halftime of the championship game? No TV time. Instead of showcasing the best band in the nation, everyone at home watching on TV will get to see some singers they’ve probably never heard of, that probably could care less about the LSU Tigers. Just isn’t right.

couldn't care less. If they could care less that means they care at least to some degree.

Why don’t you use google before crying like a little girl?

Halftime will feature LSU’s “Tiger Band” and Clemson’s “Tiger Band.”

Half time shows are come across pretty awful on tv. Nobody at home is going to care if they show that or not

TV broadcasts never show the halftime show, unless it's the SuperBowl.

Networks do the halftime report.

I was IN the Dome for LSU v Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, and the most annoying thing at halftime was the way they ran very loud COMMERCIALS on the Jumbotron, drowning out the performances of TWO of the best bands in CFB. Don’t be surprised if this doesn’t happen when TGBFTL is on the field.

Since there are 15 different broadcasts of the game wouldn’t at least a couple show the halftime performances?

It’s on the band to be creative and take their own revenge in these cases.

For instance, if the halftime entertainer is Miley Cyrus or Mariah Carey, the band could play them on and off the field with Patsy Cline’s “Crazy”.

The Stanford band were pros at this years ago.

I love all aspects of the game, and the experience wouldn’t be the same without the band. That being said, this comes off as a bit Dabo-ish.
