Does anybody find it odd that the whole #metoo movement was kind of swept under the rug? Also nobody called out the big name actors/actresses for coming forward even when they knew the whole time and were in a position where it wouldn't hurt them if they ratted Weinstein out.

It will be hard to ever figure out whether Weinstein was nothing more than a creep (which he was) or if he was a sex criminal. Any powerful director or producer in Hollywood will have young starlets throw themselves at them for a part. But, there have been directors and producers who have this reversed - it takes a trip on the couch to get a part.
Personally, I find both practices reprehensible. Whether producer, director or actress, have some personal pride.
