I think the details of these meetings should always become public knowledge at a later date. I don't mind the leaks in principle. The problem I have with them is that they're often providing incomplete information or very subjective interpretations of what happened.
If the leaker has official verbatim transcripts without loose interpretation included, then good on him. Just saying "i overheard them talking and my opinion is that it was bad" is not enough in most cases, imo.

This practice sounds very, very dangerous to me. I'd say the reason why these details need to indefinitely stay highly classified and leak-free is because there are extremely clever/smart/experienced intelligence agents on the other side that take these "snapshots" and work their magic to fill in the blanks. Before you know it they've essentially pieced the whole thing together and know who may be U.S. human assets/spies, not to mention they'd basically have busted us on our tactics.
Getting busted one good time with a covert intelligence network could easily shut us down intelligence wise for years to come. During which time we're blind.

Anyone could have written that article. There is no inside information, just things we already knew, and someone's negative opinion on Trump.
When in doubt, ALWAYS follow the money. The flow of illegals into the US has slowed to a trickle and what does that affect. The amount of telephone traffic back to mexico and central america. The amount of drug cartel money flowing back across the border. Who is the largest shareholder of telecom companies in mexico and central america....Carlos Slim. Who is "reputedly" the largest drug money cleaner in the world....Carlos Slim. Who owns a big chunk of the NYT...Carlos Slim.
Trump is costing carlos billions by shutting down the border....he who laughes last laughes loudest.
