Considering how much better Brees has been than Favre, I’d say this doesn’t fair well for Brees getting the recognition he deserves.

Favre owns the interception record, but he’s an ol’gunslinger!

Edit:

The 10 quarterbacks are, in alphabetical order, Sammy Baugh, Tom Brady, John Elway, Brett Favre, Otto Graham, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Roger Staubach, and John Unitas.

Did they say they were going to name only 1 quarterback?

Could you save the whining?

Brees will be in it

If they don't have him in it, they clearly have an agenda

Every test, stat, and metric you can throw out related to actual quarterback play has Brees on top

Well, get ready for him not to make it. What happens when Brees does something historic? The next day he's knocked down a peg by the talking heads. There is an agenda, he plays in New Orleans.

If Brees didn’t make it and Favre did.....the list has absolutely no legitimacy.

You have to consider the relative time periods in which quarterbacks played. Over the last decade it has gotten disproportionately easier for quarterbacks to put up a lot of flashy stats.

If that's the list the only people you can take issue with being on it over Brees are Brady and Manning. Favre to a lesser extent but he played nearly half his career in the 90's.

bullshite. Drew Brees is more talented and worked harder at his craft than Sammy Baugh or Otto Graham ever worked. The game has changed, alright- and neither of these guys could hold Brees' jockstrap. I hate the "it was a different era" bullshite argument. Back then players had off season jobs and it wasn't the relentless, all-consuming, exacting profession it is now. Brees holds every record that you can measure a QB by yet he's not top 10? Get the frick outta here.

ETA- Sammy Baugh threw more interceptions than touchdowns. frick him. I don't care if DBs could mug wide receivers in 1930. Then don't throw the ball. Turnovers are the fastest way to lose a game.

Brees and Rodgers snubbed.

How can they argue Favre over Brees??

Tom Brady was on the selection panel. That’s all you need to know.

What does that matter? It’s all anyone’s opinion and that’s it. Who cares what anyone else thinks of Brees.

I'd take Brees over Elway and Favre easily. They're going to look even more stupid if he wins another ring this year

I take that back. Brady was on the set with Belichick for the filming hanging out with everyone.

Belichick was one of the 26 members of the voting panel
