I know a couple in their 60s that have gone annually for the longest. They claim to absolutely love the park. Once was enough for me. There was nothing there that I needed to go back to see.

When did this obsession with Disney begin?

I assume these people are furies, pedophiles, or some other type of pervert

I can’t say anything bad about Disney, even though their PC bullshite has become almost unbearable lately. I put up with it cause my wife loves everything Disney. It’s really her only vice, and it’s a harmless one to pay for, as it don’t come close to what I spend on my hobbies; and I might complain, but I end up having a good time with the kids and watching my wife be so happy.

This. We barely overheard English spoken this week. If we did, it was spoken by brits.
We have been to Disney and universal three times over the past 15 years but we all agreed this will be our last time going, at least for a long time. Everything was dated and my kids are now out of theme park age it appears. We will start taking more family vacations to the beach or tour cities or something.

Normally I dont, but this is family that's repetitively going to the same spot over and over and throwing pictures up on social media every time as if it's something new they get to experience when it's the same damned thing they posted over Mardi Gras.
Is a sporting event not the same thing?

I hate to break it to you, but there is a huge Disney swingers thing going. There are set dates they go and meet up for "fun".
Pretty obvious why they keep going back

I’ve been once. Right after the wife and I married. Stepkids were 7 and 3. Got back home and my step daughter said next time we go that she’s riding up front. I told her next time she went she could drive. We never went back.
My Step daughter is grown with kids now and she doesn’t care about going back. We just never understood the hype.

You sound Petty and jealous. Are you paying for the trips? Do they impact you personally? Your obsession with how they vacation is more disturbing than their destination choices.
Are you envious of their traveling? Cause you sound envious.
You do you and don’t worry about them. Get off FB if their activities have such a negative impact on your life.

Disney is a fun place to visit every 10 years or so

Went to Diney on my honeymoon in 87 , wife got a great deal and we were poor, it was ok.. went back around 2000 with my daughter, this time liked it even less, went last year with extended family and pretended we enjoyed it. I much prefer Universal never had a bad time there. My brother’s family are card carrying Disney cultists, to each his own.

My daughter went to Magic Kingdom today. She likes to go once or twice per year.

The OT Disneyists are gonna mouse-jack all over you.

Lol. Quit deflecting. Why are you jealous of what others do? Do you envy their enjoyment or are you jealous of the fact that they travel?
Are you mad that they have a family that isn’t dysfunctional and can do things they enjoy?
Does your family not get along? Can y’all
Not take trips together?
Why can’t you just accept what they do without judgement?

Apparently they have sent up their mouse beacon and are rushing to defend their cult.

The point of the thread was people who do this so much that their kids have to suffer, that’s the issue.

Goddamn dude read the whole post instead of getting eraged about the title. It's a family member dragging their kid along who didn't want to go but the parents think this is the epicenter of their universe. I see people doing this all the time. Relax.
