It’s pretty bad. NBA should just start their season Christmas Day then it may “matter” more.

I’ll get downvoted to hell but I think NFL on Thanksgiving is overrated as hell, mostly because it’s always Cowboys and Lions. Boosted up only because of food timing and family gatherings with nothing else on. Maybe if more different teams rotated I’d care.

I would kill for a shitty bowl game on Christmas Day. Everybody would be watching.

Yep.

NBA sucks, and the games don't matter. Give me 3pm and 7pm Christmas Eve bowl games. And then a triple header on Christmas Day.

It's not like these college kids are at home with their families on Christmas Day. LSU and Oklahoma, for example, got to Atlanta on Sunday/Monday and will be there all week. They aren't at home with their families anyways.

No worse than the NFL force feeding us the fricking Lions every Thanksgiving.

I hope that tradition never dies.

I hope it doesn’t either. I dig it. I’m all for as many traditions sticking around as possible. But saying this isn’t a tradition just because you don’t like basketball is just plain wrong.

It just feels like MNF to me. ESPN hypes it up WAY more than they should, so then I end up hating it after I sit down to watch it and it’s just the same old half-assed regular season NBA game.

Didn’t watch a single minute and don’t feel like I missed a thing. Last 5-6 years I haven’t watched a NBA game unless I was in attendance. Only pay attention when the playoffs start.

If they were smart, this crazy arse in season tourney ideathey have would end on Xmas day, instead of the 18th. At least then both could matter more.

I dont think anyone is saying it's not a tradition. I think most are saying that ESPN just hypes it up waaaay too much and the games really don't matter any more than any of the other 81 Especially when they put up all of these ridiculous Christmas stats

You guys are so whiny. Everyone on here complains about the low stake regular season games, then you get a few games with playoff intensity and you still whine about it.

We get it, the nba is too black for some of you, quit making threads about it.

I hate the NBA with the heat of a thousand suns and it is still better than having to listen to Boomer Sooner 10,932 times after every Oklahoma touchdown.

Yeah it's big trash for sure. I'd rather watch little league Irish premier league. These games never end up being close and no upsets ever happen

One of my favorite Spurs games was a Christmas Day dagger vs. Phoenix

"MERRY CHRISTMAS, SAN ANTONIO!"

Holy shite that was 10 years ago, I feel old now
