Drew Brees is closer to Dilfer/Johnson than Montana/Brady**Update: Brees not on the field

With all these commercials for the top QB finalists. You have to think they will leave Brees off with so few spots..I mean any QB can get lucky and win 1 but it takes a strong leader to win 2 or more. There are going to be arguments for Favre and Marino but I don't think its a coincidence they aren't spoken of in the same breath as Manning or Brady or Elway

o man putting down brees on a basically saints forum, the downvotes will rain from the heavens.
With that said Im glad brees is in new orleans, but had he gone to the dolphins with saban, nick wouldn't have gone back to bama and LSU would have dominated all those years so i have a love/hate with brees

I don't know..All those crucial game winning drives that Elway put together..plus 5 appearances in the Super Bowl with 2 wins. You have to think there was something magical with the way he played that inspired his teammates

you do realize a qb alone can't win a super bowl right? Marino never won one, its a team game, Brady has been lucky to be on some great teams. Switch Brees with Brady and who knows the pats might have won 10 straight super bowls. Remember when Cassell stepped in for Brady and went 13-3 or whatever? Tom is good, but he's not better than Brees, just better teams.

Agreed, thats what I'm saying the stars aligned and the Saints were able to sneak a win in. Any team can get lucky and win one. Takes something special for a QB to lead his team to multiple titles.
