Brees is amazing and all, but don’t kid yourself just saying swap Brady and brees.. not that simple. Who says Brees take the necessary paycuts for so long to keep up the team success. Cassell played well with a previous (16-0) team lol. He did regress to a 5 game drop off (11-5) understandably so. Brees is awesome. But we don’t need to compare, just appreciate greatness in its own right.

What is this stupid shite?

With all these commercials for the top QB finalists. You have to think they will leave Brees off with so few spots..I mean any QB can get lucky and win 1 but it takes a strong leader to win 2 or more. There are going to be arguments for Favre and Marino but I don't think its a coincidence they aren't spoken of in the same breath as Manning or Brady or Elway
Im going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've been drinking heavily for hours.
Like binge drinking jagermeister.

With that said Im glad brees is in new orleans, but had he gone to the dolphins with saban, nick wouldn't have gone back to bama and LSU would have dominated all those years so i have a love/hate with brees
There was only one year the Les Miles Offense was winning a NC minus a Bama loss

How many playoff wins did the Saints franchise have before Drew Brees?

All those crucial game winning drives that Elway put together
Go ahead TD drives in 4Q, team still lost game (career)
Drew Brees - 21
Aaron Rodgers - 11
Peyton Manning - 6
Tom Brady - 4
Brees now has as many as Rodgers, Manning and Brady combined.

Championships are such a silly measure. Look at Karl Malone or Charles Barkley, no rings and their careers were not failures. Clayton Kershaw might be the worst postseason pitcher ever, doesn't mean he's not the best regular season pitcher of all time. It takes alot of luck in these team sports to win titles when you need 50+ players in football and you need a good kicker to win.
Brees did it in a small market which as evidence by last years playoffs, the NFL will do anything to keep out of the title game for monetary reasons.

Gfy.....Brees lacks height which is the only attribute hes missing. He is extremely talented with the hardest work ethic I ever heard of.
With the numbers he has accumulated you have to be moron not to put him in top 5 all time.

Brady never took a single pay cut. That’s a complete myth. He allowed them to play cap games with his contract but he made exactly the same.
Posted on 12/24/19 at 9:22 pm to Fun Bunch
Towards the end Brady took the necessary pay cuts to make it work. If it was $1 or $10,000,000. The point is he’s done something that Mose QBs don’t do when it comes to money b/c he can afford to with his wife

I guess if you ignore statistics Drew isn’t that great
Brees is great but has to be solely judged among his peers...and by that measure, he's still great. Whether you think he was better than Manning or Brady is up to you.
But stats don't mean jack today because the NFL has deliberately made them meaningless to compare from generation to generation - let alone year to year now.
The game has been fundamentally altered the last 20 years...and moreso the last 10 years with the concussion issue.
I remember one play a few years ago Brees got sacked normally by the Niners and Brees fumbled and the sack was called roughing the passer because an arm went across Brees' chest.
How you sack a QB today is beyond me...hug his waist?
Shite, Terry Bradshaw and Staubach got sacked by clotheslines and McMahon was picked up and pile-drived into the ground about 5 seconds after he threw his pass.
PI is called on every play, you can't touch receivers and you can't sack QBs, why they rush nowadays is anybody's clue, just drop everyone back into a zone coverage.
So today's stats don't tell any story at all except how good Brees was among the QBs of the last 15 years.

Only 32 QBs out of 1000s have won super bowls but it's so easy to win one?
Eli Manning won 2, you think he is better than Brees, Aaron Rogers, Brett Farve, Joe Namath and Johnny Unitas? All have won just one.
Jim Plunkett has won 2 and isn't even in the hall of fame.
One top of all this the fricking NFL fricked Brees out of two Super Bowls!
You're retarded, aren't you.

Are you talking about the NFL 100? Because Brees was one of the 22 finalists, and your boys Dilfer and Brad Johnson obviously weren't, so your troll post doesn't make sense unless there's some other finalist list I don't know about?
Posted on 12/24/19 at 10:26 pm to KirkLazarus
Drew Brees has won more Super Bowls than the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis / Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, San Diego / LA Chargers, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Houston / Tennessee Oilers, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars organizations have combined. Add in his numbers on top of that and it is obvious he is a first ballot HOFer.
First ballot college HOF too, a list Brady ain’t on...

And statistically, Drew Brees is, at worst, at least as good as his peers, namely Brady/Manning. Rodgers is statistically better but his peak hasn't been nearly as long as Brees, so that's also a toss up.
I fail to see which QB of his generation, his peers, is clearly a better statistical QB.
