Do we need to get better? Georgia has a better recruiting ranking than us over the last few years...but we've stomped them twice in a row now.
Bama has outrecruited us, but we whipped them on the road this year.
Maybe our staff are just better talent evaluators than the recruiting services.
Maybe our staff is better at developing players than the other staffs are.
It's too early to tell for sure... but the results look good so far...give it a minute!

I find it hard to believe that there’s much difference between the 5th and 2nd ranked classes anyway

Clemson has had the #1 ranked recruiting class lately and they are monkey fricking everyone. There is your difference.

It was not as good as we expected, but it was good. If they close well it could still be as good as Bama's and Clemson's.

And what was the average ranking last year? So it is getting better and so are his teams aren’t they?
Ok now I’ll leave with this. The class isn’t done so your lame average could go up even more. Which would make your point kinda pointless. Without that terrible 2018 class (which was his worst ranking class) we wouldn’t have Burrow, this season, a Heisman and all that came with the class.
I’d say O doesn’t need any pointers from you pal. Neither do we on this board and especially myself. I’m pretty sure O knows exactly where he stands and what he needs lol.

We're up for the national title with an average recruiting class of 7-8 over the past 3 years. Our coaches have pull a Clemson and coached up the players.
Whereas as Bama and Georgia keep competing for #1 recruiting title but they are starting to win a bit less.

Insiders give their best...of what they can say. There is information they must hold back or they get in trouble with their sources. None of them are mind readers and they can only go by the 411 they receive. The coaches themselves were not expecting to lose both WRs but the reasoning behind what happened makes sense in hindsight.
Folks calling them out and attacking them are just being effed little children. And yes some posters are stupid, ignorant and really shouldn't be following recruiting if they get this all worked out. There is a common observation that the average person is actually very stupid..which is true. Those who slam this fact are attach folks for stating the obvious are typically part of the nameless mob of morons.

The OL class is on the weaker side.
Probably due to relatively bad home crop but it would be a very good idea to find at least one more guy preferrably rated 4 or higher.
Maybe a transfer.

All good points but it’s worse than ignorance. You can educate the ignorant with facts and statistics. A great example is Joe Burrow. If he was a HS senior and had committed and signed with LSU on Wednesday, how many of our fans would be celebrating today? NONE. Would we be celebrating the QB who was ranked 9 spots lower than JB and a 3*? Nope.
Criticizing our class is disrespectful to the kids who’ve committed themselves to LSU. They deserve better.
