re: LSU loaded up and to criticize this class shows you're ignorant to recruiting

Top 3 class - multiple potential starters as freshman = amazing
Top 5 class is a winning program in hunt for championship = excellent
5-10 = good
10-15 = ok but "down year" by LSU standards and you're losing ground on SEC.
Just don't care about the .00238 difference between us and the other guy one spot ahead

yes the final rankings of where the class ended is objective. it's not a good thing to average being the 5th best class in the sec.
tell us all how scheme wasnt the biggest issue in 2018.
tell us all how 3wrs means you're not in max protect.
you're a football ignorant dipshit

NFL Playoff seeding is objective.
CFP rankings and recruiting rankings are subjective.
If you disagree, then please explain CEHs ranking vs Swift

If you have a class in the top 25-30, you still have a good recruiting class. Mediocrity? There are talented football players all over the country! Rankings are subjective and based on someone's opinion. Teams like Oregon, Washington, Utah and Wisconsin rarely finish in the top 15/top 20, but all contend for conference titles and are often mentioned in the playoff discussion. What rankings don't take into account is a coach's ability to find/develop talent of a 2 or 3-star athlete that other teams are overlooking. Recruiting is not an exact science by a long shot!

Do you consider this the perfect class? If not, there are things to criticize and things for the staff to improve upon.

the final ranking of the classes arent.
it a fact that lsu is averaging the 5th best class in the sec since O took over.
its amazing how this board uses class rankings and recruits rankings unless is doesnt support their stance.
if lsu had the #1 class the last 3 years everyone including myself would be touting it.
getting back to my initial point....
we need this class to be a homerun. I'm not saying it isnt or we arent getting anymore committments.

2016: 2nd in SEC
2017: 3rd
2018: 5th
2019: 4th (Aggie was 3rd because they signed 27 that cycle)
2020: Currently 3rd
How do you get a 5th best average in the SEC?

19 signed and we’re 4th. Could still end up being in the 2nd best class in the nation (no one’s catching Clemson but that might be us next season after winning a Natty)

Ridiculous! We won't know it its a good class until they are Sophomores,Juniors, and Seniors. You guys just have to have something to bitch about.
Same guys criticizing O a couple years ago. Criticizing Aranda a few weeks ago. Criticizing Delpit a few weeks ago. The euphoria of all the team awards lasted until signing day, then you are back to your constant bitching.
Think about it, No top recruiting classes in the last few years, and despite a new coaching staff, we dominated the awards after this season.
This coaching staff must be doing something right, but don't stop with your favorite past time, bitch on.

composite rankings of O's full classes
2019-4th in the sec
2018- 5th in the sec
that's not how team rankings work
2016- wasnt his class
2017- was handed a top 5 class. he gets credit for holding the class together

So you took 2018 and 2019 which were 4th and 5th, threw out the fact that aggie had the bonus of signing 2 extra recruits and only finished 1 point ahead of LSU and then rounded both classes up to 5th to say LSU averaged 5th.
Come on man. Be better than that.
I'd also add that taking away 2017 is a little disingenuous. O was named interim 4 games into 2016 so to say he was handed a great class is very debatable. He was the recruiting coordinator already and likely had a large part in the recruiting and historically teams lose recruits in transition.
He was named interim on Sept 25th. I would suspect there were a lot of recruits that committed after.

Do you think there is a difference between the 1st and 4th ranked class

You’re wasting your time trying to establish logic with Rick. He’s got such an inferiority complex caused by his lack of formal education that he’ll never simply acknowledge his misstatements.

Why the frick are you here? Shouldn’t you be barking up some stupid tree about O never being successful bc “onoz he didn’t coordinations be4!!!1”

According to Ricky, all of his predictions came true.

You know if you’d actually watch the games instead of just trying to denigrate the head coach you’d know that the “scheme” in the latter part of 2018 was very similar to what you saw in 2019. As Burrow became more comfortable, the offense was opened up and more receivers were in out in routes.

I'm not criticizing the class, and I know there is another signing date coming up in February. Nevertheless, I'm still disappointed we had three kids flip during the early signing day.

The dude is an arse clown. There is no reasonable ground and it's a waste of time. A couple of his minions somewhat came around so there is that.

True. But two were WR's and one was a DB. Those position are the easiest to replace. I don't follow recruiting particularly closely, but if those flips allow LSU to get better recruits along the LOS, then it was likely worth it IMO. Lineman are the more difficult player to grab simply because God doesn't make a ton of Huge, exceptionally athletic people. There are far more smaller/fast guys than 260+ lb freaks

Ever stop to think why a guy that makes money running a website based off inside info would get mad about someone that is "fake" posting information on a free website?
