Trying to pick up sig required package containing company docs. A postal employee moving at a sloths pace comes up every 25 minutes and takes slips from everyone in line. They disappear for 20 to 25 minutes and come back with 5 or 6 packages. Looking at sign on on the mail drop box that rotates and it says

“Attention! For Your Safety: use the handle to open and close the Drop Box. Improper use may cause injury”

Sign is between 2 holes that appear to be the where the handle was attached about 10 years ago.

If you think our government should be running healthcare or ANYTHING else GFY. Thanks for letting me vent!

The DMV scene in Zootopia was 100% accurate.

On Monday, I was on hold for TWO HOURS waiting for the IRS because I got an amount due notice on an amount I had paid on EFTPS three weeks prior. Then the lady was going over my "account" and noticed that they'd never received a form 941 I had mailed two months previous (and had paid online - - you can't efile 941s without paying a service).

I'm TRYING to pay you incompetent douchebags but your own incompetence makes even taking my money difficult.

To be fair to the post office, these two weeks may be the busiest they have all year because of Christmas. Most places get overrun when they are overloaded.

My post office is a complete fricking disaster

But for the vast majority of things it is much cheaper and since I am making up that difference in my tax dollars already I might as well "save" that money

I own a retail business and we no longer ship any package via the USPS. I will gladly box it for a customer to take to the post office but unless I can ship it through UPS or FedEx I cant help them.

They are the worst, and are completely unneeded. 95% of everything that comes to me through them is junk. I would rather do everything over the internet or fax.

Wow. It isnt just me.

I had a package I was selling to an online merchant just last week. Only 2 people working at the counter of Office Depot. Only 3 customers total.

It took 15 minutes to get service and another 45 minutes to finalize shipping my package.

My rural delivery woman a few years back had a book for me. Was too big to fit in the mailbox by the road so she drives the 180 feet up to the house and drops it right in the middle of the driveway and turns around and drives off. This was a couple of days after stuffing crap into the box that wouldn't fit leaving the box door open - in a frigging rainstorm.

yesterday i had to dispute an overdraft at my bank

the "its 1 minute after 12 so thats on tomorrows date" and so we will charge you $35 for money that we already have in our hands

i wrote a check on the account knowing what the balance was but the teller never mentioned a check from 3 weeks ago just cleared 5 minutes before i got to the window so as im sitting there in the drive through i get a text telling me about the overdraft

so she tells me they have no way to see you're balance or account info at the window so i got to go talk to a bank representative inside how can they not see if you have money in the bank? that seems kinda important info to know before they cash a check

i sign in and theres no frickin body in the bank, 16 desks and not a single person as all of them are on 1 hour lunch at the same time. 1 hour and 20 minutes later 6 of them come back to work and i wait another 15 minutes while they bullshite about who ate what at lunch

i got my stuff sorted but they make the post office look efficient

I went to the P. O. To get two rolls of American flag stamps. They were out and only had four sheets of flag stamps. Pathetic.
