I’m in sales and put tons of miles on my 2008 Altima
I think after 225k it finally bit the dust. It’s at the shop but afraid it’s gonna need a new tranny
If you had to pick a 2017-2019 used sedan under 20k what would you go with?
nB4 someone recommends something not a 2017-2019 sedan under 20k

If you got 225k out of a CVT consider yourself lucky. We had an 07 Altima and got 75k out of the original transmission.

I've got a 2009 Sentra. No major problems so far.

Yeah same story as you. In sales and ton of miles. I got a sonata for like 19k with leather brand new. Driving the shyte out of it. Won’t turn heads, but man if you’re young and need the money for anything else, you will thank yourself for the extra 200-300 monthly you would spend on a nicer car.

I have a 2016 Passat and it has been good. Makes great mileage.

My advice is to look for a 2014/15 one owner ES350 still on or just off warranty. I use them as work travel cars and I am on my thrid ES. The first I got rid of at 500k, the second was a total loss at 390k and the current one is at 425k. None have cost more than $2000 in non-maintenance repairs. You will get decent mileage, mile eating comfort and solid touch of luxury for your money.
Obviously this only applies if your job doesn't require a newer car but given you were driving an 11 yo car I assume it isn't an issue.

Toyota Avalon for the win. Not sure if that year would be in your price range but you can't go wrong even with a earlier model.

You can get a new 2019 Civic for about US 21k after TT&L

Vehicles that have the highest probability to make it over 200,000 miles are overwhelmingly SUV's. The Toyota Avalon is the only car that even sniffs that kind of longevity from a numbers standpoint.
