You dont really think any republican has the fortitude to subpoena Hillary, Obama or anyone significant, do you?

Begin drafting them? They probably had them ready to go them before they began drafting the "whistleblower" second-hand concern troll report.

Wondering if Brennan is indicted by the time he is compelled to testify. Him pleading the 5th in the Senate will be beautiful to behold.

Article 3. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

I'm not sure there has ever been a bigger disparity of opinions on something in my lifetime. Perhaps I'm just misinformed? I like to think I'm extraordinarily objective. I just don't see where they are going with this based off what's been presented. Someone help me out.

And yet their Brain Trust yesterday couldn't name a single material fact from the schiff report.

And that lends itself to some fun.
They have to plead the fifth to everything, which means you get them to claim that identifying themselves and confirming facts from their background may incriminate them.
You can’t selectively invoke the Fif. All or nothing.

To play this script out....there is no “begin” to draft as you know they already have them drafted and saved on a server at the Lawfare group or whatever the hell they are called.

Impeaching a duly elected President based on hearsay and presumption from people who weren't on the call. It's disgusting
Anyone who supports this needs to hang their freaking heads in shame
We all know exactly what's going on here, and it will not turn out well for the democratic party.

Unfortunately, “under oath” means nothing to those people.

quote:Both the House investigation and the Senate trial will be used for political posturing. The House had nothing but that didn’t stop them from trying to create a PR nightmare for Trump (which based on polling doesn’t seem to have happened).
They will all plead the 5th
In the Senate, the witnesses don’t have to say a word. Having them get up there pleading the fifth will look bad, especially if other witnesses and evidence are brought forward to condemn them. It will look a lot worse for them than for Trump.

The Dems have just bought themselves a world of hurt. The big question that remains to be seen is if their party can survive what's about to follow.

I still don't think they do it, but if they do every single congressman/woman involved will need to go under oath in the senate trial. It's obvious Schiff was way, way too involved with the "whistleblower" and basically coaching him. That's beyond wrong.

Best part of this being a purely political trial is there is no reason not to go full "law and order" and ask insanely leading questions.

Democrats were going to impeach trump regardless of what he did or didn't do. They've had this thought ever since he beat hillbitch.
The smugness of "getting trump" has led all Democrat potus candidates to not even take this upcoming election seriously. They went further left and didn't even try to win over middle America.
Their hope/plan is to use any means necessary to get trump out of the white house and then all they'd have to run against would be a last minute rino candidate.
Sadly for them.. they can impeach him, but they won't be able to remove him from office. Senate will article of impeachment doa.

Pelosi not in the mood for any silliness today:
Reporter: "Do you hate the president?"
Speaker: "I don't hate anybody. I think he's a coward, I think he's cruel but this is about his violating his oath of office."

This kind of silliness just turns people off entirely.
