Except that an impeached president can still run for re-election unless there is a finding that he is permanently disqualified from office.
To put that in perspective, Alcee Hastings was a federal judge impeached in the 70s / early 80s and removed from the bench. He wasn’t disqualified from office. And he has been in the House for decades since.
