It's not just the ranked teams that has Ohio State on top. It's how they looked in those games, the fact that OSU also played a 9 game conference schedule, they didn't play an FCS team, and both faced 8 bowl eligible teams.
Against those ranked teams....
OSU = 28.25 ppg margin of victory
LSU = 7.3
In those 8 games against bowl eligible teams...
OSU beat them by 273 points (34 ppg)
LSU beat them by 183 points (22 ppg)

I bet Georgia will drop to number 15 or so when we beat them to justify for OSU being number one in the final CFP ranking. But it wouldn't matter cuz the Tigers will win them all, 15-0 baby.

True..it was top 20...but LSU had 4 top 10 wins

It’s the hype the Committee shows for Cincy that I don’t get.
It’s a nice little G5 team, nothing else.
Put the ranking argument aside.
Are we supposed to believe that Ohio beating Cincy at home by 42 is a BETTER QUALITY win than LSU beating Texas on the road in front of 100K?
Trade scenarios—wouldn’t LSU have beaten Cincy by >42 at home, & wouldn’t Texas have played Ohio close in Austin?
Asinine, Committee.

I am more bothered by his comment about Clemson, “different schedule”
but you cant seriously argue that they shouldn't be in the final 4. They got it right on Ohio ST, Clemson and LSU being in, and if Utah and Oklahoma both win, which ever one doesn't get in will have a legit beef with the other one.
NOw when LSU beats Georgia, and looks good on defense, will be hard for them to put Ohio St as #1 seed IMO.
We would have a fairly legit beef as to the ranking in that case, but Ohio St has been more dominant on both sides of the ball for most of the season, so the CFP could take that into consideration as well, which they have the last couple weeks.

LSU vs UGA is a de facto playoff game. 2 vs 4. Should move us up to one.
AP poll has Bama ranked ahead of Aubrun? Two spots higher right after they played and lost to #11 Barn. Until USC is back, the media fawning over Bama will remain the standard.

OK how do you justify Wisc and PSU being ranked above UF
They all three have the same record. The CFP obviously think all 3 are right there together.
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, I'm just saying that it's not some crazy screw job

Careful. They will downvote you into oblivion.
I'm not even saying Ohio st SHOULD be at 1. But if LSUs resume is a 10, then Ohio st is a 9, and they've dominated all of them...with the exception of Penn st.
I still think a good win against UGA forces them to bump LSU to 1

Good chance Cincinnati and Wisconsin both add losses to their column this weekend. No way a cincy team losing to Memphis two weeks in a row should remain in top 25. Wisconsin should fall like a rock also.
How is it a good chance that Cincy will add a loss, and no way Cincy will lose to Memphis two weeks in a row?

none of these teams can beat Alabama
serious question:
who the frick has Alabama beat to make you so sure?
they’ve played exactly two ranked teams all season.
lost both games.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin didn't even play a Power 5 non-conference game. How are we rewarding that? Their current CFP rank makes no sense.
