I like having him, Delpit, and Jacoby on the field at the same time. Brooks is a huge plus on defense as well. Clark makes some great plays.

He's very good but didn't play much yesterday.i think the difference is the defense turning the light on after being disrespected by the national media.

you can tell the defense wanted it last night.. they will be playing like that the rest of the season.. hampton will be serious the rest of the season and going forward.

I think he's part of it. Flott and Brooks are the other part.

Those three freshmen are the reason that we can now both blitz and cover at the same time.

I agree pipe. There D seems to go to another level when Hampton is out there and JS and Delpit can be more instinctve ar the LOS

Absolutely

Allows more freedom with Jacoby Stevens to do what he really does well.

It’s why kelvin Joseph bolting hurt so much

It may not be 100% the reason but he sure seems like he's made a difference. He's a star in the making, IMO.

This guy passed on big bucks in pro baseball to come to LSU. He intends to sign for even bigger bucks in either sport one day and have the college experience. I like that kind of character and confidence. I believe in this young man.

The kid can play but I don’t think he’s responsible for our sudden ability to tackle lol

I'm going to withhold judgment until I see if he can hit an SEC pitcher.....

It allows Delpit to roam more which is what he’s best at

He makes a difference. He’s a 210/215 lb safety out there that can play centerfield in CERTAIN packages currently. He plays the run from the safety spot (in his package) better than any other safety we have. Let that sink in.
He also allows Delpit and Stevens to line up closer to the LOS in the package allowing them to both play to their strengths. It also allows Aranda to dial up whatever he wants rather than being handcuffed with personnel situations. The difference with the Defense right now is that the freshmen have learned and competed at a high level, they are capable and have the confidence in themselves to play full speed.
14, 25, 35, and 9 are the difference along with having 6 guys rotating on the Dline.
These guys being able to play allows 18, 7, 3, and 6 to play instinctual football. We are getting better and peaking on defense right now.
Watch what happens this weekend, it’s coming together.
