Young gains on Burrow

Looks like the media machine is trying to push the Young narrative with Fox sports leading the charge. I knew they would try to flip the narrative after the Bama game.

LSU is no longer the sexy story, it’s all OSU all the time. That could hurt Burrow. That Heisman is not even close to win.

They have to make it look like it’s close. Ratings, etc.

It’s not. Burrow is breaking every SEC QB record leading a NC team and they didn’t give it to TM7 in 2011. Young isn’t getting it over Burrow.

They have to try and build some kind of drama. The Heisman race isn’t exciting when it’s obvious who is going to win 2 months before the ceremony

Burrow should get on his hands and knees, cock his leg, and piss on the stage after winning it

Chase Young fell on the QB multiple times after a botched snap this past weekend, for "sacks", and all of a sudden he's "gaining" on by far the most dominant player in college football this year, regardless of position? Yeah, right.

These media types are such drama queens. They want to be "edgy" by going "against the grain" and trying to make fallacious arguments about a defensive linemen somehow making a bigger impact than the guy who has the ball in his hands on EVERY PLAY.

This thing isn't close.

It is how Tua lost it last year.

Did he lose it to a defensive player?

Even though character and integrity are factors, it does concern me that the media is trying to sell the “chase got screwed by the NCAA disciplinary process” story in line with their “pay the players” narrative and feel like the voters need to right the wrong and give him the Heisman.

No, but this is how it happens. Burrow is the best, I just do not think it is a done deal. I literally heard the narrative that Burrow is not really that good because they have all those receivers at LSU. I just know how voters favor the traditional blue chip programs.

Just keep winning and have the defense stop giving up cheap TDs at the end of the game. Got to start looking more dominate to the bitches of "The Committee".

Put their stats next to each other and their influence and leadership of the team next to each other and you will see it's not even close.

Nothing would shock me anymore. The defensive performance against OM in the 2nd Half basically negated all the hype garnered post BAMA. Then, the start of the ARK game looked awful from an optics standpoint. Many feel LSU got very lucky against BAMA because of a hurt Tua and was an onside kick away from losing that game. It’s about perception and LSU did themselves no favors in many games this season with all the defensive breakdowns.

Fox Sports guys are the absolute worst too. They so clearly push for the teams/players that are only on Fox.

Dude misses two games and got a loan for a ticket or whatever it is and that equals better than the guy smashing records and playing on fire

It is. The only way he doesn't win it at this point is if he doesn't play at all in the remaining two games.

He's that far ahead of the runner up.

There has been one defensive player to win it. One. And I think a big part of that was because he also played a little on offense even though he was primarily on defense.

Young has also been suspended for two games. That's not a good look for anyone to win the Heisman. The kid is good, I will admit, but you should look at all these factors when considering that Young "will win it." If Mathieu didn't win it, Young sure isn't winning it.

Then Young isn’t really “all that good” it’s just the shitty competition he plays against.

Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron, Columbus, Dayton

Versus

Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Shreveport

11.6 million versus 4.6 million people. Wow, BIG surprise they are pushing Ohio.
