Flew out yesterday and I have to say, what an absolute AMAZING airport. Parked, went through security within :30. The food choices are top notch in there now. TSA was FAST, incredibly fast.

The ride share stuff, no comment since I drove myself.

Flew into it last week. Looked really nice. Still needs a few finishing touches. I'm not sure about the Uber/Lyft/TSA situation, but I had no problem with our baggage.

Didn't Uber or Lyft but everything else worked out just fine. Big beautiful airport, real test comes next week tho.

My sister-in-law commutes to a job in Los Angeles and she has flown in and out at least three times since they opened the new airport. She said the security line was very long the first time but everything has run smoothly since. She doesn't take Uber because of the problems with it. However, she also said that at LAX, the ride share system is the same as it is now at MSY, and it is also a cluster at LAX.

A good friend flew to NY and back last week and had no problems.

I'm flying out of MSY the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Hope it runs smoothly that weekend.

I’ve flown out of there three times in the last two weeks. Each time it was better. In fact, last night it was damn near empty. The food choices are better but I’ve done Mopho and Emerils place and neither were good. I’m sure there is a learning curve there.

I flew in to New Orleans yesterday. No problems. Of course I went to Lakefront.

Had a family friend fly in Monday night. They got picked up by a friend and came to get their vehicle they left at our house.

Said it was a mess in the arrivals area and that some things were already broken and dirty but hoped things would be fixed.

We had also gone back to drop off and it was worse than my previous time but wasn't worse than the worst times at the old airport.

We did decide that we'll stay on the outside and have the person being dropped off walk across instead of getting stuck on that inside portion of the drop off area.

tl;dr - New Orleans drivers suck.

I haven't been to the finished airport yet, but the traffic at Loyola and Vets can be a clusterfrick at times.

TSA still fd.

Now it's like an Audi with a broken center differential.

I went and picked up my grandparents a few days ago. Besides the lyft/Uber drivers blocking the lanes to the arrivals pickup area it was smooth sailing.

Honestly a lot smoother than I was expecting.

Barely. And now they want to add guest passes to allow non-flyers to go through security to eat and shop, so just adding unnecessary people to the security lines and parking/shuttle systems.

TSA seems to have been solved. All the check points are now installed. Picked my wife up Sunday and security was probably 5 minutes.

Picked up coworker yesterday at 9am. No issues. Brought coworker back at 10:30 this morning. No issues. They even commented on how much nicer and smoother things went in the new terminal.

Here as I type. Only complaint is the shuttle to/from the original rental car center is ridiculous.

flew out last Friday morning. TSA line was 10-15 min max and that was with only about 10-11 lanes open. Parked on the 6th level in long term garage. The "spots available" system hasn't been turned on yet, apparently it's in "learning" mode, but they did have some signs up on the lower levels saying "this level is full".

Walked past Uber/Lyft lines, maybe 10-15 people waiting on Fri and hardly any Sunday morning when we returned.

To get off I-10 at Loyola took one red light cycle, and once we went through it, all green lights until we were on property. Hardly any traffic at all.

Didn't check bags so can't say about that.

Flew out of Concourse A which has nothing at all in it but it's only a couple of gates. Just need to get whatever you need before that.

Had brunch at Leah's Kitchen. Absolute disaster. I would say they are working out the kinks, and maybe that's part of it, but "kinks" don't include staff that stand around doing nothing while your drink glass is empty, and a manager that seemed to care less. Which surprised me because I overheard someone saying the manager was a Chase family member. Food wasn't very good and was very slow. Not sure how much of this is controlled by the actual restaurant itself (i.e. the Chase family) as it seemed like all of the employees were employees of Delaware North.

Last week flying out MSY was one of the more seamless and enjoyable departures from any airport in a really long time.
