Reading comprehension. I was replying to the guy saying bama still argues Eric Reid’s interception, as if it’s petty to not let it go after ten years. So I provided an example of LSU fans not letting stuff go from ten years ago.
Thanks for further proving my point

Ball tipped so it doesn’t matter

quote:this. Wasn't it first down on like the 24 yd Line? We would've scored anyway
Ok let's give the gumps the benefit of the doubt on that one and say they're right. Can you really look at how we were moving the ball in the first half and deny that we wouldn't have made those yards up anyway? It's not like that one play (which was called right by the way) was the difference in the game.

I’ve had a few similar conversations with gumps. I remind them that it was first down from the 17 yard line and LSU has a 98% scoring percentage in the red zone. So, even if it was ruled incomplete (which it wasn’t) we still had a 98% chance of scoring on the drive anyway. I add that they had been totally ineffective stopping us at that point in the game and there is no reason to believe they’d stop us then.

seems the scoreboard replay only showed the foot out of bounds
I was at the game. This is true. I was shocked when the play stood. I thought the Bama fans around me were about to riot

As I pointed out a few weeks ago, gumps still argue Eric Reid's interception. It won't go away
In fairness to Bama fans, we still argue about Patrick Peterson’s interception.
Hell I still argue about half a dozen calls from the 05 or 06 game at Auburn. Still today the one game I can honestly say was stolen from by the refs.

I said it when it happened. That call, even though it was correct, made up for a decade of shitty calls against Bama just because they're going to whine about it forever.

they should be pleased with that call. Otherwise, they wouldn't have had time for that last TD or onside kick. (I'm kidding of course--wasn't that in the first half? Who cares. F dem.)

I watched the very condensed version of the game on youtube and it was remarkable how Gary just knew, KNEW it would be overturned.
Just thought I'd throw that in.

Except my comprehension was accurate.
If you really wanted to use a "gotcha", you should have used the USC game in 79.
quote:Right, and my reply to you saying that the example you provided was bunk. It's not a good comparison to use if you're trying to drive that point home.

Just pull up the Patrick Peterson divot and they’ll stfu
Posted on 11/20/19 at 9:18 am to TigerCliff777
you made my day. it was a legal play as many have stated. i wish it wasn't though. they need to remember Patrick Peterson and many more plays. i hope they never believe it was legal. that's even better.

bama fans are morons
Posted on 11/20/19 at 9:24 am to TigerCliff777
I love it. I would like to beat them on an egregiously bad call or insanely lucky play on the last play of the game, just to torment them. If it makes them cry, I’m for it.
