Haven’t decided yet. Still waiting on TulaneLSU’s top 10 to make sure I pick an acceptable pattern. Leaning toward Kraft paper so as not to detract from the meaning of the gifts within.

I feel like this thread is for profiling purposes.. like “What’s your favorite scented candle” ? or how many times a month do you exfoliate?

Yep, pro tip for anyone who doesn’t know : go to $.99 Cent Only store, or Dollar Tree, like a poor.. go in EARLY December, before they run out- and they have a huge selection of gift bags, from small gift bags, to ones as big as a coffee table- all of course for under a dollar.. spend like $20 or $30 and you’re set... I haven’t wrapped a present in over 20 yrs.

Excellent and worthy question.
Several years ago I became good friends with an employee at Smythson of Bond Street. A loyal customer who buys all correspondence paper through him, I inquired as to the price of its beautiful blue paper for wrapping. Normally that paper is used only for instore wrapping, but as I am only in London every year or two, he agreed to send me one roll annually if I continue business through him. I do include $50 per roll with shipping.
Some may find it ghastly that I use blue paper for my Christmas wrapping, but the quality and texture of the paper assuages all doubt and cynicism. Touch and you know that you have in your hands the absolute best paper in the world.
I will spirit up the wrapping with class ribbons and bows, in a variety of colors, often red, green, silver, and gold. The package ends up festive and I’ve yet to have any complaints about the style or quality of my gift presentation. Classy, textured and timeless, a gift from me should make you feel like royalty, at least that is my intention and goal.
I pray that you too will find a wrapping paper that is as much a gift as what it covers. May God bless you in your gift giving and wrapping.
