I see that for any big election every time during early voting at State Archives. Buses of them.

Got to overcome Orleans and EBR parishes
Those two metros have about 40% of the state population. Most of the suburbs are conservative. The cities are left wing.

Look at the primary results in places like Franklin, Richland, and Lasalle, then compare them to yesterday's results. JBE did much better there and elsewhere in N LA than he did in October.
Right.
JBE did well enough in North Louisiana that it enabled EBR and Orleans parish to get him the win.
Ardoin boatraced the democrat in North Louisiana by blowout margins and thus EBR and Orleans couldn't touch him.

I thought it was weird and something was up when people walked out of the Monroe rally as Rispone took the stage.

The biggest warning sign that Rispone didn't quite have the Abraham camp in his corner was that Abraham was not doing TV ads, stumping on the campaign trail for him and appearing together on stage with the President.

Rispone made A LOT of people in north la mad with the attacks on abraham. He is a well liked and respected man in north la.

Time for statewide electoral college by parish
Would make JBE have to actually sell himself in other places
You guys sound like the Democrats when Hillary lost. Except flip the rule changes. You can’t always get what you want

5 of 64 Parishes cast 37.5% of the total vote. A lot of those 40 Parishes had 2500-5000 total votes each. Your metric is irrelevant.

The state GOP needs to ensure there is only 1 candidate.
And the dem candidate needs to be painted as a racist on day 1...and continually hammer it in NO and BR. Confuse the hell out of those voters.
The gloves have to come off and play dirtier than the dems.
Every dem candidate needs to be tied to LBJ and tie the candidate to LBj’s famous ****er quote.

October total votes for Governor
EBR. 136,384 Ed 84,287 Rest 52,097
Orleans. 99,186 Ed 86,285 Rest 12,901
Caddo 61,267 Ed 32,617 Rest 28,650
Totals 296,837 Ed 203,189 Rest 93,648
November
EBR. 157,441 Dem 104,022 Rep 53,419
Orleans 127,853 Dem 114,812 Rep 13,041
Caddo 76,633 Dem 44,687 Rep 31,946
Totals 361,927 Dem 263,521 Rep 98,406
64,460 more votes were cast in these three urban parishes yesterday and Edwards got 60,332 of them. Rispone got only 4,758 of them or just over 7%. Rispone lost by 40,341 votes.
Throw in Jefferson Parish where 126,728 voted and Edwards got 72,192 to Rispone’s 54,536.
In October 111,400 voted
Edwards got 58,916 votes
The rest of the candidates got 52,484 votes
Edwards got 13,276 more votes in Jefferson a month later, Rispone got just 2,052 more votes than all candidates other than Edwards got a month earlier. That’s another big slug of votes. Jefferson was a killer.
Statewide numbers:
October total vote 1,343,481
Edwards 625,970
Abraham 317,149
Rispone 368,319
Others - 32,043
Total without Edwards 717,511
November total votes 1,508,597
Edwards 774,469
Rispone 734,128
There were 165,116 more votes cast in November than in October. The problem was that Edwards got 148,499 of them and Rispone got just 16,617. Edwards got 90% of the additional votes cast.
It’s obvious which candidate got their people to vote, but the urban turnout was the key.

quote:It just dawned on me why we have a week of early voting.
The Democrat buses have been moving for weeks, taking people who otherwise would never go to the polls and have no idea what is going to, and dropping them off with a list of who to vote for in order to get their free meal. fricking disgusting

There should be an electoral college on the state level...

really is disheartening that just a couple of super concentrations of people can essentially control the entire rest of the state.
And look at the national elections, the disparity is even worse.
The founding fathers had everything right for voting and we fricked it all up.
