Look at the primary results in places like Franklin, Richland, and Lasalle, then compare them to yesterday's results. JBE did much better there and elsewhere in N LA than he did in October.

Cool - So we all agree that Rispone f’ed up by slandering a conservative candidate.

Maybe those running in 2023 will learn something.

Got to overcome Orleans and EBR parishes.

It will never happen.

They better get up into NW La and make sure that they turn it by BIG margins.

The machine got cranking here in EBRP about 3 weeks ago and you could tell the motivation was there.

Yes because EBR & Orleans are much better since JBE has taken over. A virtual oasis.

New Orleans and BR will always elect the governor. Why do you think that’s where they spend their time campaigning.

The state GOP needs to ensure there is only 1 candidate.

Those frickers can’t run a campaign and an attempt to choose a single party candidate would lead some potential candidates feeling alienated because the party is supporting weaker ones just because they are closer to the party elites.

45% of the state population lives in those 2 metros. The cities are left wing but most of suburbs are conservative

Yes and no. The most effective are the African American churches. Greater St. Stephen's did it all through the collection plate

Well the founders had a republic with very limited voting and only white people could be citizens. That is what the founding fathers intended.

Rispone losing the election because of NOLA is understandable.......it's the Prog/Dim cesspool of the state. On a national level it's no different than Hilldawg winning NY and CA and claiming most Americans wanted her as POTUS......No! The skank won two of the most populated and fricked up states in the US due to progressive policies and she thought that should decide who claims victory in the 2016 GE.

Yep, when the Constitution was signed, slavery was still the law of the land.

It's bad enough that N.LA ruins opportunities to make money off gambling.

I'm not sure about taxes but those are the 3 most populous parishes in the state.

Gee, it's almost like human beings vote instead of empty space. I sure wish someone had taught me that before I signed up to be a hundred acres of nutria habitat.

The Democratic Party of Louisiana finally got its act together. In the last month, a massive get-out-the-vote process paid off bigtime. My wife and I were called over 20 times during that period, called by Democratic operatives and volunteers. I worked phone banks (as a volunteer) six times during that time and made hundreds of calls to suburban Independents and Democrats in EBR, Jefferson, and St Tammany parishes. Most seemed to be undecided white folks and not one had voted for Edwards in the October primary. Most had not voted at all.

The Edwards campaign turned many of those people out and it helped a lot. Anti-Trump feeling helped with these people as well. Between 1/3 and 1/2 the people I called mentioned something negative about Trump coming to Louisiana so many times about our election. (We had a prompt question asking of the President influenced their opinion on the election.) One thing for sure, Dems (for 2020) are going to have a good bank of voters in those parishes that are NOT Trumpkins.
