Unfortunately, the honoree has to speak at his own rally.

If he can just tone it down and not seem so arse kissy perhaps the MAGA rally will work.

We need our president to make this a referendum of us versus them!

Get the Republicans and those in the fence and against impeachment to send a message to DC that we are with our President.

Keep us posted on the turnout and lines.

I still think the rally should have been held in BATON ROUGE

They should have Rispone speak first, not after Trump. It is hard to follow Trump and look good.

Seriously doubt it will affect turnout.

President Trump's movement has transcended such trivial matters like weather.

Trump is the only way that Rispone can win. He has no original ideas and has no particularly notable personality qualities that anyone would find likeable.

If the state was truly in the sad state of affairs, this shouldn’t be a challenge. But it is. Rispone is weak

LOL and JBE is a combination of Thomas Edison and Johnny Carson???

Rispone's ideas and principles are quite different from what we see now. The man has proven he will work hard, that he can run a company, that he can be successful; yet you make fun of him on a regular basis because of his stature and his voice.

And yes, the state is that bad off. We are in last place, we are losing population, our spending is out of control, and Edwards has had four years to reform the way we do business and all he can say is after four years that he's not Jindal and he has a surplus.

Rispone at least had the guts to jump in the race when none of the top Republicans wanted to take on a well-funded incumbent. Thank God Eddie did because Ralph didn't have the money to do it.

Where would we be without Eddie right now? We'd be watching the machine and all that cash crush Ralph in the second primary if there was one.

If you are truly a good government type and a conservative you should be thankful he chose to spend his money to better our state, but I really don't think you are.

Mayor of Shreveport isn't allowing first responders to assist with protection of POTUS. First time in the history of the USA a mayor has refused. (They allowed assistance when Michelle Obama visited though.) Mayor Adrian Perkins looks like a fool.....

If you had met Rispone in person or taken the time to research a bit you’d find him to be a strong, dedicated leader. He cares about LA and is running to ensure a future for his children, grandchildren and all LA citizens.

We are losing population for God’s sakes. We are 50/50. If you vote for JBE you are simply not paying attention or are too lazy to find out the truth.

This vote shouldn’t be close unless you are, as John Kennedy said, “Happy with Crappy”. A tolerance for mediocrity is our biggest problem in our state. We did it at LSU with Les Miles, we are still doing it with FKA and if we re-elect JBE we are going to see an extension of mediocre growth, tax increases and population erosion. Wake up and go vote for a change.

Ha!
Edwards inherited a train wreck in baton rouge and an economy that had been wrecked by low oil prices. People were panicking over tops. Edwards got both sides to work it out.

Edwards is one of the only governors in a long time to work with both sides.
Rispone wants to come in and crack some kind of whip that doesn’t need to be cracked. He will be a divisive trouble maker.

Oh, and Louisiana isn’t in last place. That doesn’t even make sense. You’ve bought the line though. Believe what you want

A. The visit is completely contained in Bossier City. It's 3 miles from Barksdale AFB to the arena.

B. This isnt an official state visit. It's 100% a rally for Rispone. Trump will not be meeting with state or local officals while here.

So why should Shreveport pay their employees to assist when it's in another jurisdiction? Not saying they can't, but I understand why.

And besides, until Trump reimburses the 6 other cities he's stiffed on payment, I'd say screw it too.
