People born in 1986 are millennials.

Teenagers and Twenty-somethings today do have problems today that the Baby Boomers did not have back when the Boomers were teenagers and twenty somethings. I'm not going to begin to list specifics, but, I know the truth.

Nobody cares what Shatner thinks. Even Star Trek fans hate him

And if it wasn't for Archer's sorry arse then Kirk would be the worst captain on any of the series too

I don’t identify with that group much at all. I feel like I’m more Gen X, or even that Oregon Trail Generation.

The whining of millennials as a whole makes me cringe

Speaking as a real GenX'er, I find myself identifying with millenials much more often than boomers. Boomers, as a collective, are far and away the most damaging thing to ever happen to this country. They're a generation of greed, excess, debt, selfishness, gullibility, waste, and just simply not giving one single frick about their kids (see divorce rates for proof).

They're the scourge of the Earth, imo. There are some good boomers, of course, some with an actual conscience. The rest of them need to go ahead and fricking die off and let this country begin to heal itself under the leadership of GenX and Millenials.

It's absolutely beyond me how any GenXer could look at their parent's generation and think, "man, those guys really set us up for success!".

The millennial - boomer battle is simply parents and their kids fighting each other. Boomers scolding and millennials rebelling. Sheer size dictates that boomers and millennials (their kids) will drive policy, culture, etc. rather than Xers and their kids (the Zs). The conflict between them is probably not a good thing for the country. We'll see.

This guy gets it.

I think the biggest problem is that Boomers, in general, champion themselves as some awesome generation that left the world better than they found it. But they did nothing. The Greatest Generation did everything, left them with a gift, and they squandered it. Gen X and Millenials are the ones tasked with fixing it.

Boomers should just admit that and all of this would go away. But they won't. And they are going to drive Social Security into the ground, raise student debt, delay professional advancement of younger generations because they saved poorly, and take every advantage available kicking and screaming. So, either they are going to start the selfish trend or those that follow will have to sacrifice, in which they already are. See purchasing power metrics.

Well, for one thing . . . have you seen the new TV shows? They are TERRIBLE, I mean, really life-crushingly terrible.

Starting adulthood with mountains of college debt. Whether for a "real" degree or not. MD's weren't 300k in the hole entering the work force during their generation. That's one very simple and easy one.

That’s solid.

Back in the 80s, you could work a crap summer job and save enough to pay for tuition. That was when min wage was around 3.50.

Tuition now is 10k. You can’t work a summer job and pay for a years tuition.

People who say “Ok Boomer” and the people who get offended hearing “Ok boomer” deserve each other.
