Looking for a casual sportcoat

Need something that won't look like I was trying to wear a suit (to the rednecks around here) and failed...something casual but classic. Any recommendations?

Go to Kmart and ask for the Matthew Lesko collection.

Banana Republic usually has good options.

Men’s Warehouse has plenty, and usually a decently sized sales rack.

Go to Stine Mart. They will have several to choose from which you can try on without salesmen breathing down you neck, and you will get out for $100 or less.

The more texture it has, the more casual it will be perceived to be. There's also a dozen little details that would swing things either way. Are you looking for something you can wear year-round, or is this eyeing winter?

Most on the OT fly to Thailand for custom-tailored pieces.

Since you didn’t specifically state wear to buy as most people apparently think you did but rather requested a casual classic I’ll state the obvious.
A navy blazer and a plain black blazer are perfect for anything. You can add a light brown and dark brown as well.
Tweed for winter and camel hair are also nice. Tweed works well with jeans but no elbow patches.

search eBay for the nicest brands you can think of and buy used coats for 10-20% of the original cost

Look at Bluffworks travel sportcoat. Machine washable and doesn’t wrinkle.
