During the broadcast it was reported that the field is being replaced before the next home game.

It looked like some of the grass parking lots near the vet school yesterday

How windy was it? Not sure why we shut down our long passes last night.

Yep. And all week on here we had "turf specialists" telling us the rain wouldn't affect anything bec our field drains so well.

Don’t think we really had time to throw it down the field like games past.

It really boggles my mind how LSU can have such a shitty field compared to much of the SEC. And it equally boggles my mind why LSU, for whatever reason, can't cover the field beforehand when the KNOW it is going to rain. All we hear about is how great the field drains. Great! But no matter how well it drains it isn't going to happen instantaneously, and if you can mitigate the amount of water the field sees BEFORE the game there won't be as much to drain off when it comes time where you can't cover the field.

It is being replaced right after the A&M game. Not during the season.

I don’t think they were anticipating that weather in the span of about 10 hrs.

Oh yes, this was still being said on here Friday when it was pouring. Some of us who brought up the weather basically were told to shut the fck up bec the field was one of the top in the country as far as drainage

TS is y’all and 3/4 bowled in. Lack of direct sunlight affects most of the field and becomes more prevalent when the days are shortened. Couple this with a shite load of rain and what you get is what you saw last night.

Anyone who’s said that has never been down on the field during a downpour or lengthy rain event. The drainage needs to be upgraded badly!

Very fricked up and an absolute embarrassment for an A&M college on national TV.

I’ll get downvoted to hell, but with the success we’ve had historically on field turf, I wish we could go to that...with some sort of cooling beneath it.

Why didn’t they lay a tarp before the rain?

Tarp would ruin it even more. All that weight would flatten the grass and make it even more slippery.

Oh. Seems like other places do tarps.
