We are loaded with young talent.

This year is about developing that young talent and letting the cream rise to the top. We were never, EVER winning anything this year. What got y’all so worked up, a good preseason?

If our record ends up bad enough to get us a top 10 pick then that would be a fantastic outcome for this season. I say bring the loses on, let’s get a top pick and get Gentry out of here.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer when my team wins usually.

I agree it’s wayyy to early to get upset. But, by the end of January, we better show some serious improvement. I believe we will, but I’ll withhold serious judgment until that time. We need time to figure out rotations and how to play together. We will be gelling in the coming weeks and then we have to sort of figure it all out over again when Zion returns at Xmas

Yeah, I get where it is coming from, fans seem to treat basketball like football, where 2 wins to start a season means life is practically over, but the NBA is a marathon not a sprint.

And developing a winning franchise is done through multiple marathons.

Realistically, without Zion, we are playing about how I expected with some players playing better/worse at this point than I anticipated.

I mean there might not be a team with greater turnover than this one, and with no obvious superstar to anchor it all, more than any team we will have to rely on chemistry building and synergy to be successful. And that was always the case. And when the team only had probably a dozen or so hours together over the course of the off season, then right before loses a key cog, that chemistry building is not going to be a final product out the gate. But the bones of a solid team are still there.

Unlike some seasons or teams where I thought some early success hid underlying issues, I think our early losses are clouding the judgement for what I think is hiding an eventual solid team that will be able to compete with anyone night in and night out once chemistry forms.

Same people that are upset are probably the same people who though it would be a good idea to acquire Kevin Love's horrible contract so we could 'win immediately.'

What has been encouraging about the first 2 games? We're chunking up wild shots and happened to hit a couple in Toronto. There's no semblance of cohesion. It's sloppy. Plenty of time to get better but right now it's not good.

We are 1/41th of the way through the season and don’t have a win, it’s frustrating.

We’re upset because this new roster even with all their issues played well enough to win. Unfortunately our #1 option can’t close games and we continually have games slip away when he becomes the lead guard at the end of games.

It’s one thing to ask for patience with the new guys but it’s another if you’re asking for patience from a guy who has been in the system for a couple of years and has assumed the role of the guy.

The missed opportunities can’t happen with Jrue.

The new pieces have done their parts more or less, it's been a combination of Jrue and Gentry under performing that is the difference between 0-2 and 2-0. That is why people are upset.

I think most people accept this as Jrue being Jrue and don't see Jrue being Jrue as a long term problem. But Alvin being Alvin long term is a problem. Griff promised us that Fearless Alvin was different, so far Fearless Alvin looks worse than Scared Alvin.

It's one thing to lose because we're young.

It's another when your veteran leader and coach are shooting you in the foot.

if that is in fact a desirable outcome for this organization, David griffin has been lying. I don’t believe for a second that they will accept any backwards steps no matter what the circumstances

they have plenty of ways to get what they want without their own pick being high lottery, or lottery at all

We already have a ton of young talent and can’t find enough minutes to play everyone. Also we still have Moore, Miller, and picks to go after another contributor. Maybe we get some more front court depth.

False. We aren't worried about more picks. We have a core and a war chest. A top 10 pick would be an absolute disappointment. They want to win.
