I think it’s going to cause different results than what the pitchers are used to in their routines and the bullpens are going to be used earlier than expected.

With the off day moving to yesterday, this has to favor the astros and their starting pitching in the long run.

I really think it's a non-factor. The Yankees best matchup is Greinke vs Tanaka in Yankee Stadium with a wind blowing out. I don't expect a competitive game tonight.

I do remember the Astros torching Tanaka on Jeter Night to the tune of 8-0 early, so not saying it isn't possible, but not likely given the Astros scoring lately, and they will need plenty of runs on a Greinke night in Yankee Stadium with the wind blowing out.

Important to note, that game happened because the Astros jumped on him in the first inning.

Slightly, but neither team has a legit 4th starter.

Whichever team can chase a SP early is going to have the advantage.

Wind may help Greinke vs right handers tonight. It’s hard as hell to try and sit back on his slow pitches to drive them to right field.

Greinke's flyball ratio in the playoffs gives me zero confidence he can get through their lineup twice.

I think 2 runs in 4 innings would be a high water mark for him, and would give us a chance to steal a win

Really hoping to get somewhere around 5 innings 3 runs out of him and sense LLC already announced verlander don't hold back on the bullpen trying to pull this one out.

We just need offense to get going with risp

This has been tankas issue all season, the first inning, especially giving up homers.

Paxton and happ as well have struggled in the first inning.

Hopefully we dont see happ again after his game 2 showing.

If he can just replicate his first start that would be great.

This may be a dumb question... But just because he announced Verlander will start game 5, does that mean it HAS to happen? Or can he change his mind after tonight?

GO ASTROS, SUCK IT NY

How long you been a Stros fan?

Ever since I was old enough to say, “Astros.”

Long enough to remember listening to the Stros in the 90s on WIBR 1300AM “The Team 1300.”

So are you from New York? New Jersey? Connecticut?

You know who else was a Yankee fan from Jersey?

Same. Just hoping Greinke doesn’t get shelled tonight.

Where is LSUTyger76?

Games are on the radio in your area, Bud.

100.3 ESPN has been carrying the postseason games.

I feel like one of these games is primed to be a wild high scoring affair with these offenses but I guess it didn’t happen in 2017. This feels like the best bet with the wind though unless we end up with a bullpen vs bullpen game
