The Astros had better win.

This is a must win.

Lose this one and it's all over for the Astros.

It's already over. I told yall back in April it was over. It's all unfolded like I said it would. Give up.

You could title it:

“The I don’t like either team ALCS thread”

Or:

“Neutral fan ALCS Thread”

Or

“The I don’t like baseball enough to care thread”

Or

“The Daily Rangers post-season thread”

I think all of those are synonymous.

not sure if serious youa re guaranteed to get back to H town no matter what happens in NY now.

lose this. meh. game 5 will turn into a must win tho. maybe not mathematically but realistically.

why? you won't have verlander at home now.

you go up 3-2 you can save cole for a possible game 7.

if you lose game 5 with verlander, cole game 6?

then johnny wholestaff game 7? wow. AJ is rolling dice but I like it. he has faith astros will win game 5 then have 2 shots to close out at home, one of which will be cole.

We need those dead balls to do their thing tonight. Any well hit ball to right center is going to have a chance at getting carried out. The bad news is that in Greinke's 3 starts against the Yankees this year his flyball to groundball tally was 34-13 and 15-3 in his game 1 start.

Against Tanaka this year, our offense has gone 29-25 in favor of ground balls.

damn. i have zero confidence zach can do his job tonight. wouldn't be shocked if it is bombs away on him.

you have to win game 5 because it is justin throwing. u get back to houston up 3-2 then you have options. i'd be completely shocked if the astros win 3 straight in NY.

I would have been completely shocked had the Red Sox won 3 straight in Houston last year in the ALCS.

Oh wait..

With Verlander slated for tomorrow I think we should have a shorter leash with Greinke today knowing they should get some rest before Game 6 Saturday

No, it wasn't serious.

Admittedly I don't like the idea of Cole pitching on short rest if game 6 is an elimination game. I also don't like the idea of pitching Urquidy/Peacock in game 6 in an elmination game.

So, I do think that Hinch's current strategy is putting a LOT of pressure on winning another game in NY. It CAN be done, just have to go out and do it.

I agree, which is why I still contend that it should be Urquidy/bullpen today. We may still get it done, and are very capable of doing it, I just prefer not having to use Urquidy/bullpen in a potential elimination game. That could be game 6 or 7, depending on how things go.

right like we are talking apples and oranges here

same teams and conditions.....

oh wait..................

apples and bananas more like it

you won't put money on that will you?

you ain't that confident. i know it and you know it.

wishful thinking and pulling for a team realistically are two different things.

and i am pulling for the astros. hope you are right. but i have learned to wager with zero emotion so i can look at these teams and games without that whereas it is tougher for an emotional fan like yourself.

and no after i won on astros in game 5 last series i have avoided this like the plague.

The Astros are 1-for-21 with RISP in this series. If they’re stealing signs illegally, it’s not doing them any good. Why don’t you quit being a pathetic troll?

Yordan may need to be benched. But tonight isn't the time to do it. If he can manage to make enough contact for an infield popup, it's got a chance to carry out to RF.

There is no one to bench him in favor of at the moment for the DH spot. Would you rather Tucker be up in his place? I mean if one of those two make contact I like the ability of Yordan to change a game over Tucker.

Edit: We widin baws!
