I am confident that Woodward will not let Brady get away. The only place Brady would leave for is an NFL coordinator job. I'm willing to bet we've already backed up the Brinks truck for him and will add any "in waiting" titles, etc. that we need to keep him.

The plot twist is that Brady hasn't called a play all year.

So you think after like 20 years of coaching, E just woke up one morning and designed a spread offense and called all of his plays exclusively out of that foreign formation and broke records?

Dude you are a moron if you think this is ensmingers doing or if you think entire college football won’t be after Brady. He turned LSU from one of the worst offenses to the best in college football in one offseason.

This is the last year of SE contract as OC.
Brady will be named OC after the season.

Let's give him a raise, see how he develops a young QB, and then we make him OC once Ensminger retires if all goes well.

So you are ready to pay a position coach over a million? That is what it will take to keep him if you do not offer the full promotion.

Let's see how that goes over with the rest of the coaching staff.

Scott Woodward ain't stupid. There is a 100% chance that this discussion has already started in some form or fashion. If Brady ends up at another school in the SEC and LSU stumbles next year the fans would not be happy. I think Scott Woodward is all over this.

It's not like anyone is going to force SE out the door. That's not how it will go down. But if you have the best offense in the country, you keep the guy who implemented the entire offense for you. People are saying wait and see. Well sure. But if he's gone, we may have to wait and see while he's on another team.

I see what you’re saying but you’ve got to see the schematic advantage we’re at with him being here compared to before he was here.
In one offseason our offense flipped the script. Completely. And then came out and has been executing at a high level. Yes the players are executing.
But that kind of an offensive makeover that fast is very rare.
We had a 50+ yard run up the middle that almost went to the end zone and next play was a quick slant for the score.
And the last score was a beautiful play where Helaire lined up at WR and basically picked two defenders ALONG with confusing them with the switch by him and Chase.
And the way they have changed it up from team to team (I.e. we ran the ball more this weekend)...
This is not all Burrow. And Brennan ran this type offense in HS and at times this year has looked like he will be just about as affective as Burrow if he can lose the nerves and happy feet.
The facts are facts man. Brady’s legit.

They will be co-offensive coordinators. Why? They work well together and he gets the title and more money.

offensive coordinator at Georgia sounds a lot better than co-offensive coordinator LSU. Just saying...

i don't think Stevie E, if he has any desire to keep coaching, will mind the "demotion" to whatever title we give him. so, the title is irrelevant. i don't get why rantards are so worried bout Ensminger

It's always personal with them. Any small whisper of anything sounding remotely disrespectful toward SE and they turn into offended lunatics. It's the world we live in today.

the irony of all of this is the one job SE has made clear he really doesn't want to do is be OC

this.

LSU will make him OC and bring the $$$ it takes to keep any other college team at bay. But, the NFL is another story...

And you know. I always come into these threads trying to coddle them. "Don't worry. Good ole boy SE will be well taken care of. We all love him. Nobody wants to disrespect him." But shite man. It's getting ridiculous and annoying af. They're just insufferable sometimes.

I'm kind of secretly hoping that Klingsbury and Sean McVay crash and burn this season to cool off this NFL owner fascination with bringing in young college offensive minds. Might help keep them off of Brady. But, Brady has a distinct difference. He has a Sean Payton pedigree. If Dallas does keep Garrett, I could see Jerry backing up a Brink's truck for Joe Brady. He is infatuated with Sean Payton.
