Jesus. Did seeing Washington win it all actually piss off our front office enough to spend money to win?

Bullpen looking stronger. Love this signing. Thought he was the best of the three we acquired at the deadline last season

The #Braves have signed C Travis d’Arnaud to a two-year contract for $16 million. d’Arnaud hit .251 with 16 HRs in 103 games with the Mets, Dodgers and Rays last year. @FOXSportsBraves

I like it. Catcher won't be spectacular but should be solid. I hated to see it but McCann was a liability down the stretch last season.

I like the addition of D'Arnaud but don't understand resigning Flowers. Hits for low average, bad defensively with passed balls and can't throw out runners.I wish they had resigned Cervilli. He hit the ball well with us.I do like the pitching signings so far.

Flowers is an elite pitch framer which is what keeps his job

He's batted in the 220's the last few yrs so would be nice if he could bat at least 250 next yr & cut down on the passed balls. And not strike out as much.Just a killer in the lineup right before the pitcher.

Flowers is cheap and a backup. Not a terrible signing.

With D'Arnaud's injury history Flowers will continue to play in nearly half the games. If his bat gets weaker next yr like batting below 200 don't be surprised if the Braves cut bait during the season.

I'm fine with it, it's not my money

But is CH @ 18m better than Julio @ 12?

Seems like a modest upgrade

No. But he's another lefty, which apparentyl is $6mil more valuable in AA's mind. I don't get this move.

Might mean the FO doesn't have plans to retain JD.

I’d gladly pay 6m more for a pitcher that can actually roster for the playoffs. Teheran is unusable beyond the regular season.

Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal Hamels taking physical today. Per source, #Braves’ decision to sign him doesn’t take them out of Bumgarner, but reflects market for him and others might exceed their comfort level. ATL signed Hamels for $18M, right around qualifying offer. Can give him actual QO at end of season.

Yeah I’m saying the 1 year is a good thing.
