My theory on Drudge

He is playing his part and not the person you think he has become.
His site has driven the narrative in DC for decades now and he is using that power to fuel the fire more.
In the 4D chess world, impeachment is a slam dunk win for Trump.
The articles Drudge is headlining are from the MSM sources, not Drudge himself. Should their quest come crashing down (as we all hope and expect), Drudge's site will stand as a monument of their sins they cannot run away from.
Drudge may not be promoting them, as much as spotlighting them. We will see.
Or he could just be a rod smoker that converted to the dark side since he has rectal bleeding.

I have no idea is you are right or wrong. I just know his website has always sucked. It looks like a 5th grader put it together. I heard about drudge years ago and went to his website but it was horrible.

Drudge got his start as an anti-Clinton investigative reporter. He hates the Clinton’s. He wanted Hillary defeated. He never was loyal to Trump. He got what he wanted from Trump: cutting the Clinton Political Machine’s nuts off.

There are passages in "Game Change", Mark Halperin's and John Heileman's book about the 2008 election that reference how Drudge is courted.
I forget the exact passage, but both Romney and McCain send envoys to Miami to court Drudge's influence. It was implied that Drudge was bought off or heavily influenced by George W. Bush back in 2000 and had remained incredibly loyal to Dubya, and that the GOP candidates in 2008 realized the importance of having Drudge on their side.
Halperin got some flack on election day 2016 for tweeting something like "all MSM and politicos are refreshing Drudge every 30 seconds today" and lots of blue checkmarks reacted with disgust that of course a toad like Halperin would read Drudge.
TL;DR - Drudge has been cited as being able to be bought or influenced many times over the past 20 years and it comes up each election cycle.

NAH......Read Ron Coleman, the lawyer's link....
He got Google to invest in the website of his father(?)/family member as well as him realizing twitter is a more comprehensive verrion of the drudge report in collating articles.....so the google investment and the desire to cash out to some big Lefty company like Google/Facebook/Reddit is the reason why
he has gone full leftist .... to give them a "desirable" product.
Drudge is NOT pro left or pro right.....He is Pro-Drudge

This. It was a slow turn over the previous couple of years with it going back and forth during the Mueller investigation, but now he seems fully in the tank with which stories he picks (shite, he's picked Daily Star Sasquatch-is-my-momma-level stories at times).

No. The most likely scenario is that Matt Drudge’s judgement is clouded by some perceived persecution of homosexuals by Trump. We’ve seen gay people from all over lose their mind. We’ve seen it on this site.
