Why is the government suddenly going so hard after vaping?

Big Tobacco

Not because Big Tobacco wants people to stop vaping(the biggest investors in vaping are big tobacco companies) but more so to eliminate the mom & pop and internet competition. Big tobacco can survive 3-4 month bans, the smaller vendors can not.

I've never bought into the notion that vaping is not bad for you, but to ban it is stupid.

Deeming regulations. It's a joke. I like to smoke quality pipe tobacco. The Deeming regulations are trying to regulate cigar and pipe tobacco sales online. Luckily I have a ton of pipe tobacco jarred and stored.

I dont know, but it's a good move for me and mine.

Governor will announce soon, in Oregon that all flavored cartridges will be outlawed.

..since what I'm associating with is strain specific, full spectrum 100% plant..

Good position to be in.

Because some people died from doing it. The government cares about getting to the truth & protecting people.

No seriously, I have no idea. Tobacco companies own these vaping companies right?? I first thought they were behind it, but it's not in the best interest in some group or industry that spends a lot of money on lobbyist. That's how this works.

Big tobacco wants Blue and Juul to be the only options, basically. Those are the ones they have invested in and that can survive a shutdown.

They know they can win with the media and politicians in their back pocket going "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!"

And it's clearly working, look at the responses on this board on any of the vaping stories. It's pretty disturbing how easy it is to emotionally manipulate people into regulation.

Honestly I'm amazed the flavored stuff was allowed to go on so long.

But yeah it's big guys pushing out the little guys while making it look like everybody is fricked

To be fair, the FDA gave flavored vaping a big hell no, after testing revealed it could get really bad, and the unknowns were way too much. But Odummy and his ilk were bought off by lobbyists, and not only did the FDA get forced to back off, Odummy and his crew tried to destroy and hide all kinds of evidence and test studies that showed the shite could really be bad.

Well, there's no way that vaping can be healthy.

And people look pretty gay doing it.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I don’t know, but vaping has become a big problem with kids.

After decades and decades of work to get young people to stop smoking, with great success, all that work is being undone with kids getting addicted to nicotine because they’ve been told vaping is harmless because it’s just water vapor.

I’m all for devices to help people quit smoking, but the fact that kids were able to get their hands on it and were being told it’s harmless is bullshite.

Money, money, money

There is a huge underground black market in the vaping world especially as it applies to the vape"juice" that is THC which is doing the damage.
