Hole in one? Double eagle? Where? When?

I played Quail Hollow last week and made a 2 on #7 (par 5) from 170yds with a 7i. Hit a good tee shot from the gold tees over the cart path on the left side of the fairway. Hit my second shot right at the pin. It’s a little uphill so I didn’t see it go in. Ball mark was 18” from cup. Shot 74.
That’s my second double eagle. First one was at Pecan Valley #13 in San Antonio in 02.
My only hole in one was at The Bandit in New Braunfels back in 04. Standing on 17 at -3. Was looking to be my best round ever. 17 is a ~150yd par 3 over a ditch. I holed out with a PW.
So I’m on 18th tee at -5...uncharted territory. It’s an easy par 5 but I ended up with a 10 on that hole. Worst even par round ever. Lol.

Pecan Valley
great golf course. Terrible location to attract activity.
You live/from the area?

#3 at LSU golf course. I had a sweet 7wood back then. Nailed it from 215

A few years ago I was playing bayou bend. #9 was playing dead into about a 25mph wind. Nobody was gonna reach it in 2 that day. Until I hit driver dead center. Then I roasted a 3 wood to about 15 feet. I was looking an eagle in the eye. Then I 4 putted. Not 3 putts. 4 of them. Smooth bogey.
This may not be the thread to brag about this in. But this is the thread I’m gonna do it

Both were playing MJ at LSU.
My partner and I both only won the hole on both. I shot 65 and lost.

Same hole for me, though it was #7 back then, as this was back in 2005 day before Katrina hit. Holed a 5 iron from 210.
Then I made my first hole in one in April at Windance in Mississippi.

None here. One of my padnas made a 2 on #7 at Santa Maria earlier this year. He hit a 3 iron from 230.
We went crazy. Had 8 of us that day, so the other group was in 8 tee and saw it too. Fun time.

I have 2 hole in 1s. Both at Webb, 1st one on #3, 2nd one on #17. Ironically didn't see either go in from the tee.
Interesting thing about the 2nd one was that it was straight into the sun, I knew I hit it thin so when I got up to the green I was looking everywhere around the bunkers and back of the green, decided to take a peek at the hole just in case, and there it was.

I got nothin' but know a guy that made a hole in one on the par 4 at Webb that comes back over the concrete ditch.

I’ve come close on that one. I lipped out one on #1 at Muni in Lafayette. We watched it reroute around the hole. I tapped a 6” for eagle.

35+ years of golf. No hole-in-ones. Exactly 2 eagles, and both at LSU oddly enough....and 1 was on a par 4.
The first one was on the par-5 5th hole. Chipped in from about 30-40 yards.
The other one was the par-4 14th that dog-legs left over the canal. I smoked my drive and hit it low and hard and cut the dogleg. I am pretty sure the ball hit the cart path and accelerated a bit, but somehow it missed the trees and ended up about 10 feet from the green. As luck would have it, the pin was located in the front of the green, so my ball was no more than 30-35 feet from the hole and I chipped it in for the 2.

Almost made a 2 on a par 5 this past weekend. Missed it by like 3 inches.
Closest to a hole in one was years ago, one more 1/4 turn of the ball.
I don't come close to holes in one very often.

Hole in one from about 130 yards 30 years ago at the Harry Pritchet Course in Tuscaloosa. The course is now a cross country venue.
I also holed out for eagle on a par 4 from about 100 yards on the same course.
My wedge game used to be great. Not so much now.
I have seen 3 hole in one. They are always fun and unexpected.

Only an albatross for me. #10 at Carmel Valley Ranch. While it is a par 5, it plays more like a par 4, so I feel a bit cheap claiming it.

I've got 1 hole in one (Sportsman's in North Chicago, 169yds) that came pretty early on in my golf career.
