Trapper at our old camp weighed a couple of cats one night right at 40 lbs. They can get big.

Spots on the belly and tail are a dead give away. Bobcat.

I don’t not believe it is a bob cat. I believe yall. I posted to make sure. Thanks for the advice as well and I am sorry if it was a stupid post

1. I got one on camera that isn't a bobcat for what ever reason
2. Everyone looks at it and clearly sees it is a bobcat.
3. A few insist it is a cougar of some sort, generally a black one
4. People point out the science behind no such animal existing (black cougars)
5. Erryone gets mad.
6. Someone bets a pinky on it
7. Not sure if he has 9 fingers now.
OP pic is a deer

Bobcat/panther hybrid. You're fricked baw.

bobcat, how the hell do I get rid of it. I have 4 fawns coming to that spot every night and I dont care to lose another one. We have never had a bobcat out here (had plenty of coyotes)
I wouldn't worry about getting rid of it at this point. Once the fawns are up off the ground and walking on their own, the bobcat isn't going to mess with them. Coyotes are a much bigger problem on fawns, but even then you won't be able to make a big enough dent in the population of the dogs to alter their impact on the herd.
Shoot the cat if it makes you happy, but I wouldn't spend a lot of energy tracking it down for the sake of the deer. They are gorgeous/cool animals and can make a sweet mount.
And I know you said you've never had a bobcat out there, but unless you're an isolated patch of woods, they've almost certainly been around. They're just very secretive.

Mostly meant I had never seen nor heard one. I would love to have a mount of it would it be best to wait until it’s cold you think?

this times 1000, the first thing I noticed were the spots. As someone who has caught a lot of cats I can tell you they get much bigger then many think.
