Eating habits of people

Does anyone else have coworkers, friends, family whether it be in the office, hanging out on the weekends, or traveling that some people no matter what they are doing no matter the importance "need" to eat right then and there depending on the time?
For example at 11am in the office the line to use the microwave is 3-4 deep while waiting 15 minutes longer wouldn't be a big deal.
Almost missing your flight because it's 5pm and you need to get some food because it's the time you're "supposed to eat".
Pushing meetings back because it's too close to lunch.

My dad is like that. He lost a lot of weight for health reasons, and is crazy about sticking to his schedule and routine. In his defense, the changes he made saved his life.

Look MFer...If you are one that will put a meeting near lunch, I will fight you IRL.

I notice the pile up for lunch break during the workday and just shake my head. But, my coworkers will ask me why I do fasting, and they shake their heads. Some people would rather add the inconvenience to their day rather than skip a meal I suppose.

I eat lunch between 11 and 1. I like to eat dinner by like 6:30 or 7. I don’t force it to happen if I can’t though.

I eat very regularly time-wise. Between that and packing food, it makes calorie control very simple.
When you eat the same schedule and bring your own stuff, it's pretty idiot proof to vary things like calories and carbs like you want to.

and it ain't just because the food. presumably by lunch I've been working for several hours straight, potentially there other meetings or makeup from other meetings, and I'm ready for a good break. Delaying that break for a meeting is annoying as hell

I think there's an old native American saying to the effect of, "only the white man needs a clock to tell him when he's tired or when he's hungry."

Blake is the absolutely wrong person to gif in this situation. He would absolutely want that break. Bad form.

You're taking this lunch break too seriously

I do, but it's mostly my 11-month old boy.
My 52 year old friend is the same way though.

I don’t think you respect other people’s time

Road trips. When I leave, I stop for gas and that’s it.
I’ll usually just fast when flying and not really think of others.
I’ve offered some advice for those who sought it, basically telling them to eat a meat centric diet with veggies...seems fairly easy...but they never listen and I don’t care enough to follow up. Every now and then I’ll discuss nutritional science history with others as I find that more appealing.

I could shank someone for calling me to do something during lunch. Everyone eats at 11 and every now and then someone decided to do something at 11.

Funny to see someone say this. I've always thought the same thing. This is what made the vacation we took with another couple so miserable. We don't eat breakfast, lunch happens whenever is convenient, etc.
Other people NEED to stop for fast food breakfast on a 3-hour drive. NEED to start banging pots in the condo kitchen at 7AM.
Really gotta love the friend that needs us to go get food immediately just as you're getting out to campus on game day or just as you're arriving at a parade/event that was a bitch to get to in the first place.

Do you only stop at gas stations on your side of the exit? Ha.
I got that from my dad. Sucked when I would see my fav place to eat on the upcoming sign, it was agreed to, I would get all excited about what I was going to get, and turned out to be on the other side. So sad. Taught me to not get excited about things, so I guess that's a positive...
As for the OP...Ive been trying the fasting thing, eat in the noon/1-8pm window, but have always eaten when hungry and schedule allows. Takes a lot for me to feel like "I'm dying so got to eat now".

Eating right plays a significant role if you want to stay healthy. I have been working out since eleven years and I never get fat. The reason is I always eat right and eat five times a day (small meals)
