How many people are included in this “nobody”?

Do you think I just made that up for the purpose of participating in this thread?

I would estimate around 20 if not more

If anything, it pisses people off to receive Narcan because they can't get high for a while

they're now giving it to neighborhood watch people in some towns. It's too readily available.

I mean, making opiates like oxycodone widely available and prescribed was probably a much worse thing for society than the drug that keeps ppl from dying.

Is it your assertion that they would learn by dying from overdoses?

And before you say anything even more stupid, no, their friends likely wouldn't learn from it, either.

I saw my friend almost die from overdose before the narcan was used. He is now clean for over two years.

Agreed. My understanding is that they go in to immediate withdrawal and feel like shite. They go from extreme high to extreme low in seconds. Hence the resentment.

I would say fast food dwarfs Narcan. Marxism dwarfs them all.

I agree. They need to die before they will actually learn and make real Changes.

False. Addicts gunna addict, but that doesn’t mean human life is invaluable and we should just let people die in the streets.

My family is riddled with drug addiction, it’s one of the reasons my wife and I moved far, far away. Alcoholism, drug addiction, is all life long struggles but people can overcome.

The entire hot take by OP is borderline retarded. Are there shitty people that have been brought back to life from Narcan that continue to use? Sure. There's also thousands of people it's saved that went on to live productive lives. If you want to be pissed off at something, be mad about opiods. Not the drug that's saving people lives.

Only in the USA so that we can subsidize the rest of the world

quote:

Naloxone was patented in 1961 and approved for opioid overdose in the United States in 1971.[8] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.[9] Naloxone is available as a generic medication.[1] Its wholesale price in the developing world is between $0.50 and $5.30 per dose.[10] Vials of naloxone are not very expensive (less than $25) in the United States.[11] The price for a package of two auto-injectors in the US, however, has increased from $690 in 2014 to $4,500 in 2016.[12] The 2018 price for the NHS in the United Kingdom is about £5 per dose.[13] In Australia a single dose without prescription costs AU$20 while with a prescription five doses is AU$40.[14]

That public money is spent providing this for free to people who voluntarily use heroin, etc., while people born with a condition which requires them to pay huge amounts of their own money for Epi-pens is a goddamn travesty.

Science and medicine just proves Nancy Reagan right, over and over.

1. Stay off the dope,

2. Stay in school,

and you'll probably be alright.

I'm pissed at the ones that decided to abuse opiods. Hell, I have like 3 scripts of Loritabs in my medicine cabinet left over from dentist procedures and surgeries. I didn't take them all because I am aware that it could lead to addiction. Am I to feel bad for those that decided to get addicted?

Not that I didn’t believe you, I just thought “nobody” meant a high number, and apparently it did
