For a conference game, sure. Also if this game is in November vs. the beginning of October maybe the conversation is different, although I'd still prefer a late kickoff for a non-marquee OOC matchup. "It's Saturday Morning in Death Valley" doesn't have quite the same ring to it. Wall of text I posted in the other thread:
The last 11 am kickoff game I went to in Tiger Stadium was a September game against Mississippi State. I say the last because it was absolutely fricking miserable. Concession stands ran out of water by the end of the 1st quarter and ice shortly after halftime. People were falling out left and right and there were more fans under the ramps than in the stands, not that you could sit on the bleachers without burning the shite out of your legs.
Takes a real genius to schedule an 11 am kickoff against a team no one cares to see after the hottest September for Baton Rouge in recorded history. I guarantee there will be fans and administrators alike bitching because the stadium is half empty, but this will be the main reason why. These are the games that fans who cannot afford season tickets go to, not to mention those who take their kids and grandkids to that first game in Tiger stadium because you can find 4+ seats together without dropping a grand. Wont be as many of those with it being 100+ degrees in the stands.

This is one of the most entertaining LSU teams we've seen in years, perhaps decades. And it's only 7-8 days out of the year. Suck it up, show up, and enjoy it!

I didn’t drink at all last year for family weekend.
There’s a huge buffet pre-game, plus you want to see the band and the team come down the hill, etc.
So now we get there early in the morning for a huge family weekend breakfast buffet before the game? Or after the game when all the excitement is gone? WTF is that?

Conversely, this is one of the more entertaining LSU teams we've seen in years and we only get to enjoy it 7-8 saturdays a year. And I want the atmosphere to match that. I want Saturday Night in Death Valley

It doesn't matter who wins the FLA & AUB game... the time for it will be announced next Monday before they even play. It's going to be a CBS game as it will be CBS' first time to get LSU and a one loss Florida is still a good matchup.

Not if they use their 6 day option. If they do that it means whoever wins that game will be the CBS game the following week. If they don't then they likely picked our game.
