I assume it’s part of the TV thing that the conference wants to have games all day for TV purposes. Everyone should have to take their turn in this unfavorable slot. Bama took their hit last week. The Tigers also played at 11am but it wasn’t a home game. One time a season seems reasonable unless a team prefers the 11a slot. Then they can have it more. Some of this may be tied to teams having two bye weeks.

7:30 PM Vanderbilt at Ole Miss
All of our non conference home games should be Saturday night in Death Valley.

I hate the 11am kickoffs so much, that if you gave me a choice between one of those gimmicky Thursday or Friday night games like Tulane played last week, vs an 11am kickoff on Saturday- i’d take the Thurs or Fri night game every time.. at least you could plan to leave work, come to town early etc and tailgate in the afternoon and enjoy the game.. an 11am kickoff is counterintuitive to everything LSU stands for.
