Guy in our club just bought one that looks maybe 6 months old even though it's coming up on 25 years.

Thinking about buying it for my gf

My step dad has a 91 fourtrax 300. That thing has had some deer on it. Still runs like a champ.

4x4. Original tires. Original everything.

Rims are the old 9s and 11s too. So not just someone's take off set.

I think he said 95. Green.

Even the brakes work!

I’ve seen people asking for over $2,000 for them. Not sure if they’re actually getting that, though.

Wife’s uncle sold one a while back for 2000$. I would have given 2500$ or 3000$ probably for it.
All original and only driven by a 70yr old to a deer stand once or twice by a then the rest of its life pulling a small trailer to haul limbs in a subdivision lot!!

2500 or so, in the condition you're describing. Mint are getting close to 3k.
I paid 1800 for mine. No brakes, and needed a front axle replaced.

I bought an average condition 2wd 1996 about 6 years ago for $800. I fabricated up a front disc brake conversion kit on the front. I put a solid axle on the back off of a 1986 Foreman 350. I also installed a disc on that rear end. Harbor Freight winch on the front. I use it mainly to get around my property. Fun little bike and very reliable. Brakes on them suck. That's why I did discs

Best 4 wheeler ever made. I watched one walk circles around a Can Am 1000 once.

Also they’re indestructible

That's a little high for me. But it is in good shape. I'm sure he'll sell it. Was complaining about power.

Anything under $2K for a 4x4 Honda 300 in good shape is a steal.

That was the best atv ever built and that's coming from someone that was an atv sales rep for 12 years. Keep the oil changed and the air filter clean and your grandkids won't wear it out.

I caught $2800 for this one I had redone myself and installed disc brakes up front. If the bike is in the condition you’re saying and you get it for 2k or less consider it a good deal. Title will bring more money too.

Thanks. I meant buy on my behalf. But buy cheap.

Question - I'm currently in the middle of getting a 2wd 300 back in running shape. I've read where folks run Rotella 15w40 in these four wheelers. What says you and the OB?

I know people that do and haven’t had issues. I personally stick with Honda GN4 10W-40. Should make sure whatever oil you run meets specs.
