I remember Mike from Plaquemine but have been away from BR too long for anyone else.

Just wanted to say that this reminds me of that (low budget?) movie, which I think starred Patton Oswalt as the loser that was always calling sports talk shows from his mom's basement.

What show was it that Josh Innes, I belive, was a co host with a complete dumb arse, not Matt, a caller asked the co host about a certain saints player after the co host said how good he was and cant wait to see how he performs etc etc the caller called him a dumb arse and said he had just made up that name and there is no one on the saints roster wit that name

I loved listening to Buddy D's Point After in the '90s w/all the regulars: Abdul the Tentmaker, Dr Kevorkian, etc... Made the inevitable Saints loss bearable.

Deke completely killed the fun vibe

There were some real nut jobs that used to call Bob Broadhead’s show.
Wasn’t one named Fanyak ?
I still laugh at the time this poor “challenged” guy called in and Broadhead really had to keep him on because nobody else was calling in...it was classic ! He kept asking “ is LSU going to win the championship”.

There was a young kid named Justin. He was about 13, so I guess he’s pushing 40 now.

Also a guy named Clint who was a Steelers fan. Every time he called there was an annoying hum or buzzing sound on the line.

Didn't Abdul morph from one into the other? His original schtick was a tiny bit amusing. I think wwl leaned on him to tone it down on the over-the-top ethnic stuff Then he just became the annoying song guy.

ETA, No it was Bubba on the Magic Carpet. Abdul was still funnier before he became the annoying song guy, though.

IIRC Abdul was different from the magic carpet kid. The latter was younger.

If they were the same guy he was doing different voices for his characters

Papa San used to always complain “why you no talk about Michael Chang” on Jimmy Ott’s show. He was hilarious.
