Professions where recession wouldn’t impact

Just out of curiosity, what are some professions where a recession wouldn’t have that great of an impact. I view a recession, as I’m sure all of you do, as having a broad, sweeping impact. Which jobs would be least impacted?
-Public school teachers? Kids are still going to go to school, right?
-Doctors and nurses (more so Emergency room)? People will really take advantage of these services
-Accountants? Obviously, you’ll still have to file taxes. A portion will take a hit as most opt out to file their own taxes, but most people (businesses) will stay have their CPA file.
Agree/Disagree? Feel free to add more.

I still need to buy some debt portfolios to collect on while the economy is good.
I will add that my business is recession-proof and will actually thrive the worst things get though I am busy no matter what happens.

At first I thought pastors/ministers, but I’d imagine church income takes a pretty good hit when things are really bad.
Anyone ever heard of a pastor getting having to be let go??
Never considered it. I’d imagine a good one (genuine one) would continue working without pay if able.

Pipeline, there’s no end in sight. They will continue to be built no matter the economy.

I know first hand that pest control does better in a down economy.

I’m in the alcohol industry. And we didn’t get hit too bad last time. It’s fairly recession proof.

Nope. If the firm has a lot of small business clients, they'll feel the impact. I know a couple of guys that got laid off from CPA firms during the last recession due to loss of business.
