No...can’t stay healthy and he’s due a big contract. We already have enough young players that we have to pay in a year or two.

Why the frick would Houston trade us Clowney?

Is Davenport looking that awful at DE?

I heard him say that a fair trade would be to trade Peat for Clowney if we wanted to move Peat
Because curing Peat costs like 9 million against cap

Trading Peat would save $9.6M, but then we'd have to take on Clowney's $16M hit.

Only way a trade for Clowney makes sense is if the team is allowed to talk to him first and have a verbal agreement for a LT deal. Then, we would need to include one of our young stars that will be due for a major contract because at some point the team will need to start making those difficult decisions.

I think we are better off keeping the assets we have now. We'd have to give up way too much for a 1 year rental (I don't see us giving him a LT deal).

What has caused people to start hating on and doubting Marcus davenport? I thought he played great at times last year. Besides roster moves, Ive purposefully avoided everything NFL related since the rams game so I was wondering whether I missed something on Davenport

He’s also in the last year of his deal and will want more than 15M a year.

We aren’t paying him that. So frick no.

Not worth it to give up anything for a one year rental.

Who does Bobby expect him to start over? Our all-pro DE or the second year DE we traded multiple first round picks for?

That was my thought. he'd play end not OLB in our system. Unless they tried Davenport and a 2nd for Clowney.

Texans O Line is the Towering Inferno. Texans dont have a GM, and the whole GM by Committee, with O'Brien as COB is a disaster waiting to happen. Clowney for a LT is a risk. You just don't know when and if he decides he's going to put forward an effort.

Clowney can’t stay healthy. Especially for a first rounder.

If we’re going to let Peat walk....

I don’t think it happens but something to think about

2014 is a long time ago bubba. Dude had major microfracture surgery on his knee. He’s played 91% of his team’s game since his rookie year

Ya member when watt and mercilus played 5 games each in 2017

Clowney finished second in the NFL in tackles for loss and was the first AFC player since 2015 with 20-or-more tackles for loss and 20-or-more quarterback hits in a season
