I can do it in under 25 minutes. It’s gonna be my splooge on her tits and lips instead of yours.

Get a phone call right before the race that your Grandma is having heart pain and run off to go see her. But literally run, and fast, to make her think you got speed as you book to your car to avoid getting your arse kicked in the 5k.

I am 6'1", 170 lbs, in my mid 40s and have a bum knee and ran the corporate cup 5K earlier 5his year under 33 mins. Combination of walking and running. So umm ya you should be ok

ETS: I don't exercise at all and did not even warm up. So again you should be ok

It doesn't. Some people are just fall out of bed and run type people....I'm not....but a 10ish min/mile pace is kind of slow and doable if you really try.

That's a fairly light jog. Don't be a bitch.

If you run the first mile in about 5 minutes then you only need to run 12 minute miles for the rest.

She ran this same 5k last year and finished in 31 minutes

Ran is a bit strong. I believe that’s more of a yogging pace.

Fake that you castrated yourself. You wouldn’t really have to act differently.

Why not just tell her the truth and how you were so interested in seeing her, you stretched the truth.
Then tell her you definitely want to do it, if she'll help oace you theough it.

She will appreciate you more in the long run (no oun intended)

If you’ve never run (meaning not even participating in the more sprint-based sports), you’re going to have trouble pulling this off. 30min would put you about middle of the pack for a 5k among causal people who sometimes run (go time a Happy’s 5k). Granted, many in the slower-than-30 crowd are actually fat/out of shape, or short females.

Former football players/basketball players/etc can probably get back under this on the first attempt even if out of sports for a while. Most others will need time to work this down, keeping your heart rate up for 30min is a bit of a task if you’ve never asked your body to do it before.

Best bail out is to fake a cramp (if you’ve never run in there’s a good chance this is going to happen anyway). Don’t run alongside your date if it looks like she’s in better shape than you, she can see if you’re winded while she’s at a comfortable pace.

Comfortable pace on a 5k/10k is roughly as fast as you can jog, while still holding enough back that you could talk if you wanted to.

The good news is charity 5k’s can stop a good bit short of a 5k. The Corporate cup one in Baton Rouge a few years back was only a 2.6 miler, people were shaving 5 minutes of their best “real” times.

What you need to do is let her beat you and you act like you're dying and can't make it, maybe vomit a little. Then tell her you've never have run in your life but she was worth running a 5k just for a chance of a date.

Run as fast as you can non stop for 30 min. If you cant do that, you're fricked. Or, just fake an injury within the 1st hundred feet. Either way, you'll look like a lying pos.

Will not help you in a 5K.

Easiest solution is to sabotage her, put something in her water bottle or hire someone to trip her at the beginning of the race.

Run hard until you hit the wall. We'll see if Chicken can setup an over/under pick'em for how far you get. I pick 322 yards.

There is a pretty easy solution here..

Just run with her... make sure you keep up. It'll be sweet and you dont have to act like a bad arse.

Also... 29 min is nothing to brag about. Just slow jog and you can do that.
